This is the first record of the genus Ljania Thor, 1898 (Axonopsinae, Aturidae, Hydrachnidiae, Acari) from China. Two new species, Ljania jini sp. nov. and Ljania guangxiensis sp. nov., are described from Guangxi Province, P. R. China. The new detections bring the total number of Chinese aturid mites to eleven species, representing seven genera.

A synopsis of the metallic carpenter bees Xylocopa subgenus Schonnherria Lepeletier in Colombia is presented. Eleven species were recognized: X. dimidiata Latreille, X. ecuadorica Cockerell, X. lateralis Say, X. lucida Smith, X. metallica Smith, X. muscaria (Fabricius), X. ornata Smith, X. viridis Smith, and X. simillima Smith, being this latter a new record for the country. In addition, two new species are described: X. auriventris n. sp. and X. romeroi n. sp. from the Colombian Andean and Pacific region, respectively. To stabilize the application of some names, lectotypes were designated for X. binotata Pérez (=X. lateralis), X. muscaria, X. ornata, X. simillima and X. viridis. Diagnoses, descriptions, comments, floral records, distribution maps, figures and an identification key are also provided.

Stingless bees (Apidae: Meliponini) are culturally and economically important bees and they represent a major component of the Colombian melittofauna. However, the bee fauna of Colombia is still in early stages of exploration and species identification is often difficult or impossible. We revised the species of the cleptobiotic stingless bee genus Lestrimelitta in Colombia and recognized the following eleven species: L. glabrata, L. guyanensis, L. rufa, L. rufipes, and L. spinosa, which are recorded for the first time for the country; L. huilensis, L. opita, L. piedemontana, and two new species, L. diminuta, sp. n. and L. galvisi sp. n. We also confirmed the presence of L. limao in the Colombian Amazon and provide new geographical records with an updated key to species from Central America and northern South America

One species of Fanniidae and eleven species of Muscidae including two new species have been found associated with the burrows of the Altai Marmot. New species are described (Hydrotaea barkalovi sp. nov. and Xestomyia atrox sp. nov.). Some taxonomic additions to the original male description of Fannia altaica Pont & Vikhrev, 2009 and the description of the female of this species are given. The male hypopygium, 5th sternite and abdomen in ventral view of Fannia altaica are figured, as are the legs and habitus of the two new species together with the male hypopygium and 5th sternite of Hydrotaea barkalovi sp. nov. A list of all the Muscidae and Fanniidae recorded as associated with burrows of the three Marmot species (Alpine Marmot, Altai Marmot, Long-Tailed Marmot) is given.

Two new species of the delphacid genusMalaxa Melichar, 1914, M.hamuliferumsp. nov. and M.tricuspissp. nov., are described and illustrated from southwest China (Yunnan and Hainan), providing the genus with eleven species in total. A key is provided to distinguish the seven Chinese species in the genus.

The predatory family Streptaxidae is comprised of five species occurring in Thua Thien Hue Province, central Vietnam. The present paper provides an assessment of the literature data relevant to these species and the description of two new species. Haploptychius bachmaensis sp. nov. has an oblique-heliciform shell with elevated spire. The aperture is subcircular, peristome discontinuous, thick and slightly expanded, apertural dentition with one strong parietal lamella. Perrottetia namdongensis sp. nov. has a rounded and protruded shell periphery. The aperture is subcircular, peristome is discontinuous, thick and expanded, apertural dentition with one large, strong parietal lamella, one small upper palatal lamella, one large palatal lamella, one large basal lamella, and one large strong columellar lamella.

We here describe two new species Arachniodes libingii and A. vietnamensis (Dryopteridaceae) from southern China and central Vietnam, respectively. Our previous phylogenetic analysis found a close relationship between the two new species. Further morphological studies showed that the two species share short creeping rhizomes, blackish brown and lanceolate scales, papery laminae, aristate pinnules, dense scales along fronds, and entire indusia. However, A. libingii has deltoid-oblong laminae and apices abruptly acuminate-caudate, while A. vietnamensis has shortly ovate laminae and apices gradually acuminate.

Abstract—Lychnophorella comprises eleven species. It is characterized by the presence of a pad-like leaf sheath, strongly imbricate persistent phyllaries, glabrous corolla lobes, and apical anther appendages that are constricted at the base. The genus is restricted to the campos rupestres of Chapada Diamantina, Bahia State, Northeastern Brazil. Lychnophorella hindii is morphologically similar to L. santosii and Lychnophorella saxicola is similar to L. leucodendron. These new species are described and illustrated, their affinities discussed and an updated key for the genus is provided.
