Two new species of Asparagaceae (subfamily Nolinoideae), Peliosanthes nagalandensis and P. tobuensis, from the state of Nagaland, Northeastern India, are described and illustrated. P. nagalandensis is most closely related to P. arunachalensis, but differs mainly by the longer leaf blades, distinctly sigmoid flowering stem with a shorter peduncle and longer raceme, more numerous green to purple flowers, distally finely denticulate-erose perianth segments, basally hamately recurved anthers and papillulate pistil with an apically slightly concave ovary and a columnar style. While P. tobuensis is close to P. arunachalensis and P. sinica, but differs mainly by the strongly incurved, entire corona and ovoid pistil with obtusely conical indistinct style.

Abstract—A synopsis of Dicliptera (Acanthaceae) for Brazil is presented. Six species are recognized: Dicliptera ciliaris, D. sexangularis, and D. squarrosa, widely distributed in South America; D. purpurascens, which ranges from the North Region of Brazil (in the state of Acre) to eastern Bolivia; D. gracilirama, a new species from the Atlantic Forest of northeastern Brazil; and D. granchaquenha, a new species recorded in dry and semideciduous forests in Bolivia and western Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Furthermore, we propose new synonyms and designate lectotypes for eleven names. An identification key to the six accepted Dicliptera species in Brazil is provided.

The genus Parasogata Zhou, Yang & Chen, 2018 is here reported from India represented by the new species Parasogata sexpartita sp. nov. collected in a recent exploration and survey of delphacids from Nagaland in northeastern India. A second species of Eoeurysa Muir, 1913 from India, the new species Eoeurysa sagittaria sp. nov., was found in Rampur, Una, Himachal Pradesh. Both new species are described with illustrations, and a molecular identification is given with the mtCOI gene sequence. A modified key to species of the genera is also provided.

Diagnoses and illustrations are given for Tonnoira bitalea Quate. This species is recorded from Brazil for the first time based on material collected from the state of Amazonas, Ipixuna, Rio Gregório. T. spina sp. nov. and T. tripenis sp. nov. are described and illustrated based on specimens collected from the same locality.

In the present study, two new species of Nitzschia Hassall, Nitzschia pusilluhasta sp. nov. and Nitzschia australodesertorum sp. nov. are described from reservoirs in the state of São Paulo southeast Brazil. The morphology of the new species was analysed using light and electron microscopy. Nitzschia pusilluhasta is distinguished from morphologically related species by its valve outline, the shape of apices and fibulae, the absence of a gap between central fibulae, and the density of striae and areolae. Nitzschia australodesertorum differs from morphologically similar species in its valve outline, the shape of apices and fibulae, the presence of a gap between the central fibulae, and the density of fibulae and striae. The morphology and ecology of the new species are discussed and compared with morphologically related taxa. Information on the co-occurrence of other diatom species in the samples is also provided.

Cissus cervil sp. ii. é dedicada a Armando Carlos Cervi. Two new species of Nullana DeLong, 1980 are described and illustrated: N. albinoi sp. nov. and N. sakakibarai sp. nov., both from the state of Paraná, Brazil. Two new synonyms and a new combination are proposed. A key to the 10 known species of Nullana are presented and Nullana gelbana is newly recorded from Paraná State, Brazil.
