Prionocyphon costipennis sp. nov. and P. macrodascilloides sp. nov. are described from North Taiwan. Orientoprionocyphon Klausnitzer is a new synonym of Mescirtes Motschulsky. Prionocyphon herthae Klausnitzer, Prionocyphon laosensis Yoshitomi et Satô, Prionocyphon rutai Klausnitzer, Prionocyphon ruthsteuerae Klausnitzer, Prionocyphon weigeli Klausnitzer, and Prionocyphon yoshitomii Klausnitzer are transferred to Mescirtes. Prionocyphon picigrandis is a new substitute name for Cyphon grande Pic (nec Cyphon grandis Tournier). Prionocyphon minusculus Klausnitzer is transferred to Mescirtes. Prionocyphon ovalis Kiesenwetter is reported from China for the first time. A key to the genera of Scirtidae with modified antennae, and a key to the East and Southeast Asian species of Prionocyphon are included. A catalogue of Mescirtes, Prionocyphon and Prionoscirtes inhabiting East and Southeast Asia is presented.

Two new species the spider family Anapidae are described from Southeast Asia: Conculus sagadaensis n. sp. from Philippines and Conculus yaoi n. sp. from Indonesia, both described after male specimens. Conculus is reported from Southeast Asia for the first time. Diagnoses and illustrations are provided for two new species. The types are deposited in the Natural History Museum of Sichuan University (NHMSU) in Chengdu, China.

Two new species of nereidids, Dendronereis chipolini n. sp. and Neanthes hsinchuensis n. sp., collected from brackish aquaculture ponds near coasts of southern Taiwan and fouling community on docks of the Hsinchu fishing port in northwestern Taiwan, respectively, are described in the present study. Dendronereis chipolini n. sp. differs from its congeners by a combination of number and morphology of branchiae, morphology of neuropodia and form of neuropodial homogomph spinigers. Neanthes hsinchuensis n. sp. can be distinguished from congeners reported from East and Southeast Asia by a combination of numbers of conical paragnaths, morphology of notopodia, the absent/present of prechaetal lobe and forms of neuropodial chaetae. A key to Dendronereis species of the world is included, together with a table of morphological characters of Neanthes species reported from East and Southeast Asia, which have no conical paragnaths on Area V of the pharynx.

Chigger mites of northern Iran were studied on the basis of field collections from rodent hosts. Thirty-five species were recorded. Two new species, Cheladonta afshari Stekolnikov and Shamsi sp. nov., collected on Apodemus sp. in Guilan and Mazandaran Provinces, and Neotrombicula tehranensis Stekolnikov and Shamsi sp. nov., collected on Cricetulus migratorius and Chionomys sp. in Tehran Province, are described. One new synonym is established: Neotrombicula vernalis (Willmann, 1942) (= Neotrombicula kermani Kudryashova, 1977 syn. nov.). Seventeen species were recorded in Iran for the first time; thus, the number of known Iranian chiggers constitutes 104. The record of Neotrombicula autumnalis (Shaw, 1790) in Iran is important from the veterinarian and medical points of view, as this species attacks humans and domestic animals.

Two new species of the genus Chersodromia Walker are described from mangroves of Singapore: C. nigripennis sp.n. and C. singaporensis sp.n. Palpal sensory pits are recorded for the first time in the genus and Tachydromiinae as a whole. They are present in both species. Some aspects of the male terminalia in Chersodromia are shortly discussed.

The female holotype of Clubiona distincta Thorell, 1887 from Myanmar is illustrated for the first time. It is considered ajunior synonym of C. filicata Pickard-Cambridge, 1874 originally described from India. Two new species belonging tothe genus Clubiona are described from Thailand. These taxa are C. digitata sp. nov., and C. aberrans sp. nov. The con-specific female of C. filifera Dankittipakul, 2008 is designated and described. Clubiona melanothele Thorell, 1895 and C. corrugata Bösenberg & Strand, 1906 are recorded from Thailand for the first time.

Two new species of Naarda Walker, 1866 (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Hypeninae), N. merkli sp. n. from Sulawesi and N. vojnitsi sp. n. from Vietnam are described. The former species is closely related to N. bisignata Walker, 1866, the type species of the genus, while the latter one is similar in facies to several congeners, but its genitalia are remarkably different from all known Naarda species. An identification key is given, for the first time, to the straw-coloured Naarda species.

The large, South and Southeast Asian millipede genus Anoplodesmus is rediagnosed and here reported from Taiwan for the first time, with two new, apparently northeasternmost species involved: A. spiniger sp. nov. and A. aspinosus sp. nov. Both of these congeners differ from each other primarily in several details of gonopod structure. “Takao”, the type locality of Geniculodesmus inexpectatus (Attems, 1944), is here rectified as actually being the same as Kaohsiung, Taiwan, not “Mount Takao, Hachiouji-shi, Tokyo Prefecture, Japan”.

The genus Sorolopha Lower from the Chinese Mainland is reviewed. Seventeen species are recognized, including two new species, S. dactyloidea sp. n. and S. identaeolochloca sp. n., and five species previously unrecorded from China, S. asphaeropa Diakonoff, 1973, S. ferruginosa Kawabe, 1989, S. karsholti Kawabe, 1989, S. liochlora (Meyrick, 1914), and S. stygiaula (Meyrick, 1933). Also, the female of S. ferruginosa is reported for the first time with a brief description and illustration. Sorolopha longurus Liu & Bai, 1982 (syn. n.) and S. micheliacola Liu, 2001 (syn. n.) are proposed as new synonyms of S. camarotis (Meyrick, 1936), and S. chlorotica Liu & Bai, 1985 (syn. n.) as a new synonym of S. rubescens Diakonoff, 1973. Photographs of adults and genitalia of the new species are provided. A key to the species from the Chinese Mainland is given based on the male genitalia.

The genus Batriscenellus Jeannel is recorded from Southeast Asia for the first time, with two species described as new: B. suthepensis Yin & Kleeberg, sp. nov. from Chiang Mai, Thailand, and B. vietnamicus Yin & Kleeberg, sp. nov. from Vinh Phuc, Vietnam. The male of both new species can be readily separated from those of all congeners by the unique shape of the modification on tergites 1 (IV), as well as the structure of the aedeagus.
