First records of peracarid crustaceans obtained from the Cayo Matías Ocean Blue Hole, southwestern Cuba, aredocumented. In addition, two new species of isopod and amphipod are herein described. Gnathia micheli n. sp. (Isopoda,Gnathiidae) and Boca normae n. sp. (Amphipoda, Aristiidae) were associated with filamentous algae at a depth of 20 m.Both represent the first report for a blue hole and the amphipod constitutes the first record of the genus for Cuba and theCaribbean Sea. Three other isopods, i.e. Gnathostenetroides sp., Cirolana parva, and Cirolana crenulitelson, and the cumacean Procampylaspis sp. are documented for the first time from the same blue hole.

This paper provides the first report of the snail-killing fly genus Dichetophora Rondani, 1868 on the Korean peninsula with the discovery of two new species, D. koreana sp. nov. and D. nigricorpa sp. nov. Descriptions and illustrations of the new species and keys to the Palearctic species of this genus are given.

Fagineura Vikberg & Zinovjev, 2000 is recorded from China for the first time. Two species of Fagineura are described as new, F.flactoserrulasp. n. and F.xanthosomasp. n. A key to the species of Fagineura worldwide is provided, now including four species. In addition, a simple phylogenetic analysis of Fagineura species is provided, based on sequences of the COI and NaK genes.

The genera Abaria Mosely 1948 and Drepanocentron Schmid 1982 are recorded in China for the first time. In this study, two new species, Abaria herringbona sp. nov., from Guang-xi, and Drepanocentron fuxiensis sp. nov., from An-hui, are described and illustrated. Male genitalia of these two new species is distinguishable from those of other Abaria and Drepanocentron species. In addition, Melanotrichia attia Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1992 is a new record for the Chinese caddisfly fauna.

Two new species of Taraxippus Moxey, 1971 are described and illustrated: T. samaraesp. nov. from Costa Rica and Panama and T. perezgelabertisp. nov. from the Dominican Republic. Both sexes and the previously unknown eggs are described. The genus is recorded from Central America for the first time. A distribution map and a discussion of the distributional pattern of Taraxippus are provided.

Mites of the family Athyreacaridae are recorded from Asia for the first time. Two new species of Athyreacarus are described, A. indicus sp. nov., collected on the beetles Bolbohamatum laevicolle and B. marginale in India, and A. brevisetosus sp. nov., collected on a beetle Bolboceras sp. in Sri Lanka. An updated key to species of the genus Athyreacarus is provided.

Diaziella bizarrea van Noort & Rasplus sp. nov. is described from specimens reared from Ficus glaberrima and Diaziella yangi van Noort & Rasplus sp. nov. is described from specimens reared from Ficus curtipes in Xishuangbanna, China. Together with a new record of Diaziella macroptera Grandi from Thailand this is the first time the genus has been recorded from the Asian mainland. Previously the twelve described species of Diaziella were known from the islands of Borneo, Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi and the Philippines. Images are provided for both sexes of the two new species and for the female of D. macroptera. A key is included to all described species of Diaziella. Six species of Eutardigrada are recorded from Portugal; four of them, Macrobiotus crenulatus Richters, 1904, Hypsibius seychellensis Pilato, Binda & Lisi, 2006, Diphascon (Diphascon) pingue (Marcus, 1936) and D. (Diphascon) patanei Binda & Pilato, 1971 are recorded for the first time in Portugal. Two species, Minibiotus orthofasciatus sp. nov. and Bertolanius (new name of Amphibolus) portucalensis sp. nov. are new to science. Minibiotus orthofasciatus sp. nov. is one of the species of the genus with three macroplacoids, microplacoid and cuticular pores forming transverse bands. The new species differs from all existing species by one or more of the following characters: distribution of the pores, shape of the pores, absence of dots on the legs, level of insertion of the stylet supports on the buccal tube. To the new species is attributed an unembryonated egg similar to those of Minibiotus intermedius (Plate, 1888), M. poricinctus Claxton, 1998, M. floriparus Claxton, 1998, and M. weglarskae Michalczyk, Kaczmarek & Claxton, 2005 but different from them in some details. Bertolanius portucalensis sp. nov. is very similar to the other species of the genus, but it differs from them in having very small cuticular tubercles. From some of them it differs by characters of the buccopharyngeal apparatus and/or of the eggs. This is the first record of the genus and of the Eohypsibiidae family in the Iberian Peninsula.

The oribatid mite family Liacaridae (Acari, Oribatida) is recorded in Vietnam for the first time. Two new species of liacarids of the genera Liacarus and Xenillus are described from Tam Dao National Park, northern Vietnam. Liacarus vietnamensis sp. nov. is similar to L. laterostris Mihelčič, 1954 in the morphology of lamellar cusps (inner teeth well-developed; interlamellar tubercle absent) and in having long interlamellar setae and short notogastral setae, but differs by the directions of lamellar cusps and morphology of bothridial setae. Xenillus tamdaoensis sp. nov. is similar to X. longipilus Pérez-Íñigo & Peña, 1995 in having long notogastral setae, insertion of notogastral setae lm posterior to la, and the presence of an interlamellar tubercle, but differs by the morphology and position of lamellar cusps, size of the interlamellar tubercle and length of interlamellar setae.

The assassin bugs of the genus Ptilocerus Gray, 1831 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae: Holoptilinae) occurring in the Australian Region are reviewed for the first time, resulting in the description of two new species, viz., P. spangenbergi sp. nov. (Queensland and Northern Territory, Australia) and P. papuensis sp. nov. (Papua New Guinea). The latter species differs from P. fuscus Gray, 1831 (the type-species of genus Ptilocerus) in a couple of major external morphological characters, hence its tentative placement in the genus Ptilocerus is discussed. A key for the separation of the two new species is provided.

Rhopaltriplasia Diakonoff, 1973 is reported from China for the first time. Rhopaltriplasia rotundipetalina sp. nov. and Rhopaltriplasia spinalis sp. nov. are described and illustrated. Rhopaltriplasia insignata Kuznetsov is recorded for the first time from this country. A key for identification of the Chinese species is given.
