Two new species of Taraxippus Moxey, 1971 are described and illustrated: T. samaraesp. nov. from Costa Rica and Panama and T. perezgelabertisp. nov. from the Dominican Republic. Both sexes and the previously unknown eggs are described. The genus is recorded from Central America for the first time. A distribution map and a discussion of the distributional pattern of Taraxippus are provided.

The subfamily Nesomesochorinae is recorded for the first time from America north of Mexico. Two new species of Nonnus (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Nesomesochorinae) are described, both from Arizona, USA and Mexico. Diagnostic characters and figures are provided to distinguish these two new species from congeners in North and Central America.

Fagineura Vikberg & Zinovjev, 2000 is recorded from China for the first time. Two species of Fagineura are described as new, F.flactoserrulasp. n. and F.xanthosomasp. n. A key to the species of Fagineura worldwide is provided, now including four species. In addition, a simple phylogenetic analysis of Fagineura species is provided, based on sequences of the COI and NaK genes.

A New Species

A new species of bee fly of the genus Chrysanthrax Osten Sacken, C. pennyi, n. sp., is described and illustrated. It was reared from the larva of a myrmeleontid, which marks the first record of parasitism by the genus of that family. The pupal exuvium is described and illustrated and a key to species known from Central America is given.

The inclusion of Tethlimmena Bates, 1872 in Oxycoleini is reinforced, with the consequent exclusion of Eroschemini Lacordaire, 1868 from the American fauna. Oxycoleus obscurus Júlio, 1997 is transferred to Tethlimmena. Wappesia gen. nov. is described to include Oxycoleus cyaneus Martins & Galileo, 2005, Tethlimmena gahani Gounelle, 1911 (currently, in Oxycoleus), and Tethlimmena gahani tristis Melzer, 1933 (currently, in Oxycoleus as O. tristis). A key to genera of Oxycoleini is provided. Two new species of Oxycoleus are described: O mirabilis, from Mexico (Chiapas) and Guatemala (Baja Verapaz); and O. similis, from Costa Rica (Guanacaste) and Panama (Chiriquí). The male of Oxycoleus flavipes Martins & Galileo, 2006 is described for the first time. Notes on O. laetus Júlio, 1997 are provided.

Two new species are described: Cobelura prenai, from Costa Rica, included in a new key to species of the genus; and Paranisopodus thalassinus, from Costa Rica, included in a previous key to species of the genus. Notes on Cobelura peruviana (Aurivillius, 1920) are provided and the holotype of Cobelura vermicularis Kirsch, 1889 is illustrated for the first time. Two new species of the long-legged fly genus Hurleyella Runyon & Robinson, 2010 are described and illustrated: Hurleyella belizensis sp. nov. from Belize and Hurleyella salina sp. nov. from alkali areas of the Northern Rockies of the USA (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming). The discovery of these new species greatly extends the known distribution of Hurleyella northward in the Nearctic and southward into the Neotropics. Notes, photos of habitats, a distribution map, and a key to the four known species of Hurleyella are provided.

First records of peracarid crustaceans obtained from the Cayo Matías Ocean Blue Hole, southwestern Cuba, aredocumented. In addition, two new species of isopod and amphipod are herein described. Gnathia micheli n. sp. (Isopoda,Gnathiidae) and Boca normae n. sp. (Amphipoda, Aristiidae) were associated with filamentous algae at a depth of 20 m.Both represent the first report for a blue hole and the amphipod constitutes the first record of the genus for Cuba and theCaribbean Sea. Three other isopods, i.e. Gnathostenetroides sp., Cirolana parva, and Cirolana crenulitelson, and the cumacean Procampylaspis sp. are documented for the first time from the same blue hole.

Mites of the family Athyreacaridae are recorded from Asia for the first time. Two new species of Athyreacarus are described, A. indicus sp. nov., collected on the beetles Bolbohamatum laevicolle and B. marginale in India, and A. brevisetosus sp. nov., collected on a beetle Bolboceras sp. in Sri Lanka. An updated key to species of the genus Athyreacarus is provided.
