Two new species of predaceous midges of the subgenus Eukraiohelea Ingram & Macfie of Stilobezzia Kieffer are described and illustrated: Stilobezzia (Eukraiohelea) proxima n. sp. and S. (E.) quasielegantula n. sp. The previously known New World species, Stilobezzia (E.) elegantula (Johannsen) is redescribed and illustrated. The species are illustrated through photomicrographs from adult males and females collected in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. A key to adults of the five American species of Stilobezzia (Eukraiohelea) is also provided.

Two new species of Dilobopterus Signoret, 1850 are described from the Atlantic Rainforest of Rio de Janeiro State, Southeastern Brazil, based on specimens collected in Angra dos Reis (D. nelsoni sp. nov.) and Itatiaia (D. sakakibara sp. nov.). Holotypes are deposited in Museu Nacional, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. These are the first species of the genus described after the publication in 1977 of the last comprehensive monograph on the New World Cicadellini. We also describe the previously unknown male of D. segmentalis (Signoret, 1853) based on specimens from the Atlantic Rainforest of Espírito Santo State, Southeastern Brazil (municipality of Santa Teresa). We propose a group of species within Dilobopterus (trinotatus group) based on features of the paraphyses of D. trinotatus (Signoret, 1853), D. segmentalis, and D. sakakibara sp. nov..

Although the world species diversity of Marilia Müller 1880 is not great, knowledge about this group may be underestimated, since several areas are poorly studied, especially in Northeast Region, Brazil. Two new species are described and illustrated here based on specimens collected in Maranhão State, from which the genus has not been reported previously. Despite the similarity of Marilia caramuru sp. nov. with M. elongata Martynov 1912, differences between them are observed especially in segment X and preanal appendages, in addition to details of wing venation. The unique set of spiniform projections on endotheca, and the wrinkled prominence on sternum VIII distinguish Marilia paraguassu sp. nov. from all other species in the genus. The material examined has been deposited in the Coleção Entomológica Professor José Alfredo Pinheiro Dutra, UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and in the Coleção Zoológica do Maranhão, UEMA, Maranhão, Brazil.

Abstract Adults of a new species of the genus Tetrabezzia Kieffer, 1917 are described and illustrated from India. Two species of this genus were previously known from the subcontinent and the Oriental region. Keys to the adult males and females of the world species are also provided.

Based on specimens collected from eulittoral zone in rocky shores of northeast of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on 2017, two new tanaidaceans species from two different suborders are described: Apseudomorpha brasiliensissp. nov. (Apseudomorpha, Metapseudidae) and Pseudozeuxo fischerisp. nov. (Tanaidomorpha, Pseudozeuxidae). Diagnostic characters of Apseudomorpha brasiliensis are mandible palp article-2 and article-3 with six and nine finely penicillate setae on inner margin, respectively; pereopod-1 carpus and propodus with two and four ventral spines, respectively; pleonites 2 and 5 with pleura having long distal seta; uropod exopod shorter than endopod articles 1–2 combined, endopod four-articled. Pseudozeuxo fischeri is characterized by pereopods 1–3 coxa with long seta about half as long as basis; pereopods 2–3 carpus with ventrodistal seta; propodus with two ventral setae; pereopods 4–6 propodus with two ventral spines and one seta; uropod endopod two- and exopod one-articled. This is the first record of the family Pseudozeuxidae and the metapseudid subfamily Metapseudinae from the Southwestern Atlantic (Brazil). Remarks on their associations with macroalgae and identification keys to world species of Apseudomorpha and Pseudozeuxo are provided.

Two new species of Trachygamasus Berlese, T. minutus sp. nov. Yao & Jin and T. similis sp. nov. Yao & Jin based on adult males and females, and the male of T. multisetus Yao, Jin & Zhang, 2019 are described from China. A key to the Trachygamasus species of China is presented.

Two new species of Toxophora Meigen are described and illustrated—T. paulistana sp. nov. (Neotropical) and T. azteca sp. nov. (Nearctic and Neotropical). An identification key to the New World species is also presented. Morphological differences between populations of T. aurea Macquart (1848) are recorded, illustrated and added to the key. The new species are easily recognized by: scape with long, yellow scales laterally; presence of yellow scales on mesonotum margins; posterior margin of mesonotum with a pre-scutellar pair of setae; and yellow scales forming thin bands on posterior margins of abdominal tergites in T. paulistana sp. nov., and scape entirely covered with long dark-brown scales and yellow scales forming a broad, longitudinal stripe on center of abdominal tergites III-VII in T. azteca sp. nov.

The genus Aguana Melichar, 1926 previously included only two species from the Atlantic Forest of Southeastern Brazil. Here we provide a revised diagnosis for the genus and describe two new Brazilian species and the female of A. imbricata (Signoret, 1854). The new taxa are A. picinguaba sp. nov. (states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Santa Catarina) and A. spitzi sp. nov. (State of São Paulo). Aguana species are very similar to one another externally and can be distinguished mainly by features of the male terminalia (especially of the aedeagus) and female sternite VII. A key to males and females of the genus is added (except the female of A. russata Young, 1977).

We describe and illustrate Paphanuspaloisp. n., first generic record for Brazil, and Minangapatriciamadrigalae, first generic record for Costa Rica. We present illustrated keys for the New World genera of Sigalphinae, and the New World species of Paphanus and Minanga. Minangapatriciamadrigalaesp. n. was reared from caterpillars of Chloropteryx nordicariaDHJ01 (Geometridae).
