A new species Phthiria notiosa Gharali, Mogbeli & Fekrat sp. nov. is described from the southern Iran and its diagnostic features are photographed. The new species belongs to the group of Phthiria species having the dorsal prong of the first flagellomere short. Phthiria notiosa sp. nov. is morphologically similar to Ph. vagans but it is easily distinguished from that widely distributed species in Iran by the completely black scutellum and different genitalic features.

Fissidens beckettii is reported for the first time for Russia from the Primorye Territory (43°00′N, 133°00–01′E). The species was described from Sri Lanka, and subsequent revision, especially in last decades, revealed its pan-tropical distribution. The description and illustrations based of Russian collections are given and the species distribution is discussed. Russian locality is separated from Japanese ones by ca. 1000 km and from Chinese by ca. 3000 km. Noteworthy is the species occurrence in disturbed habitats, specifically along roads in Miscanthus’ meadows in southern part of the Primorye Territory, together with two other southern species recently found as new for Russia. These are pantropical Fissidens hyalinus and primarily eastern North American Ephemerum spinulosum, the latter recorded after 1975 in southern Japan and West Europe.

Lathrobium petruzzielloi sp. n. from Grotta degli Angeli (Picentini Mounts, Cervialto Mount, Acerno, Campania, Italy), the most southern species in the Italian peninsula of this group, is described and compared with L. angelae Bordoni and Magrini, 1996 from Grotta dei diavoli (Matese Monts, Letino, Caserta, Campania, Italy). A map of the distribution of the glyptomeroid Lathrobium Gravehorst, 1802 in the Italian Apennines is presented. The following synonymy is validated: Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 Glyptomerus H. Müller, 1856.

We review the status of an Iranian gecko population previously referred to Tropiocolotes cf. steudneri and describe it as a new species, Tropiocolotes hormozganensis sp. nov. We discuss the taxonomic history of this population and compare its characters with those of the other species in the genus. The new species is distinguished from other species of Tropiocolotes by possessing weakly keeled dorsal scales and smooth ventral scales, having imbricate scales on dorsal and ventral tail, possessing clearly tricarinatesubdigital scales, 48–55 dorsal scales, two pairs of postmental shields, of which the second pair is about half of the size of the first, 100–107 scales longitudinally along underside of body, 15–19 scales across head and 16–19 subdigital lamellae.
