AbstractThe main objective of this paper is to non-parametrically estimate the quantiles of a conditional distribution in the censorship model when the sample is considered as an -mixing sequence. First of all, a kernel type estimator for the conditional cumulative distribution function (cond-cdf) is introduced. Afterwards, we estimate the quantiles by inverting this estimated cond-cdf and state the asymptotic properties when the observations are linked with a single-index structure. The pointwise almost complete convergence and the uniform almost complete convergence (with rate) of the kernel estimate of this model are established. This approach can be applied in time series analysis.

In order to research generalized apparent temperature model in Beijing region, the different age demographic composition proportion is considered and the existing apparent temperature model is modified on the basis of Steadman human heat balance equation. Then indoor comfort zone of residential building is obtained by generalized apparent temperature model reference to comfort zone of Beijing comfort index model. The generalized comfort dry-bulb temperature zone is acquired by critical value of generalized comfort zone. The critical value of generalized comfort dry-bulb temperature zone would be adopted to modify the outdoor start temperature of the central heating system and air-conditioning.

Electrochromic (EC) oxide films with nanocrystalline and nanoporous structure constitute the basis of a number of devices for modulating the throughput of radiant energy. One example is in architectural windows capable of providing energy efficiency and indoor comfort simultaneously. This paper introduces EC technology with particular attention to applications to the built environment. The nanostructural features of the EC films are emphasized, and it is pointed out that reactive magnetron sputtering can be used for large area manufacturing. Electrochromics is discussed from the viewpoints of materials, device technology, and applications.

Abstract In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic properties of a nonparametric conditional quantile estimation in the single functional index model for dependent functional data and censored at random responses are observed. First of all, we establish asymptotic properties for a conditional distribution estimator from which we derive an central limit theorem (CLT) of the conditional quantile estimator. Simulation study is also presented to illustrate the validity and finite sample performance of the considered estimator. Finally, the estimation of the functional index via the pseudo-maximum likelihood method is discussed, but not tackled.
