AbstractNew technologies are constantly becoming part of our everyday life. At the same time, designers and developers still often do not consider the implications of their design choices on security and privacy. For example, new technologies generate sensitive data, enable access to sensitive data, or can be used in malicious ways. This creates a need to fundamentally rethink the way in which we design new technologies. While some of the related opportunities and challenges have been recognized and are being addressed by the community, there is still a need for a more holistic understanding. In this editorial, we will address this by (1) providing a brief historical overview on the research field of ‘Usable Security and Privacy’; (2) deriving a number of current and future trends; and (3) briefly introducing the articles that are part of this special issue and describing how they relate to the current trends and what researchers and practitioners can learn from them.

Despite a burgeoning literature on entrepreneurial identity and context, there are still many unchartered research avenues requiring more elaboration. This special issue of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation will try to answer some of the challenging issues on entrepreneurial identity and context by examining the topics through taking different empirical and theoretical approaches. The research gaps in the field and emerging trends in this area are discussed in terms of the themes of the articles in the special issue. The editorial concludes by discussing remaining areas worthy of attention and potential research pathways. While the research on entrepreneurial identity and context continues to make progress, it is clear from the articles in this special journal issue there are many more ways that research can develop and extend current thinking.

By a wider extension, they are also influencing the world of law. That is why technologies will have a huge impact on society in the coming years and will bring new challenges and legal challenges to the legal sector worldwide. On the other hand, the new communications era also brings many new legal issues such as those derived from e-commerce and payment services, intellectual property, or the problems derived from the use of new technologies by young people. This will undoubtedly affect the development, evolution, and understanding of law. This Special Issue has become this window into the new challenges of law in relation to new technologies.
