Neutrino geophysics is an emerging interdisciplinary field with the potential to map the abundances and distribution of radiogenic heat sources in the continental crust and deep Earth. To date, data from two different experiments quantify the amount of Th and U in the Earth and begin to put constraints on radiogenic power in the Earth available for driving mantle convection and plate tectonics. New improved detectors are under construction or in planning stages. Critical testing of compositional models of the Earth requires integrating geoneutrino and geological observations. Such tests will lead to significant constraints on the absolute and relative abundances of U and Th in the continents. High radioactivity in continental crust puts limits on land-based observatories' capacity to resolve mantle models with current detection methods. Multiple-site measurement in oceanic areas away from continental crust and nuclear reactors offers the best potential to extract mantle information. Geophysics would benefit from directional detection and the detectability of electron antineutrinos from potassium decay.

<span lang="EN-US">One of the most important and common parts of the modern power systems is the grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems. Recently, these systems have gotten a big revolution due to the introduction of the transformerless inverters. It has the merits of small size, low cost, and high efficiency. However, transformerless inverters has a general safety problem related to the earth leakage current. Various researches were directed toward evolving their performance and diminishing the leakage current to the standard limits. This article proposes an application of the H7 controller to a PV powered grid-tied three phase transformerless inverter. The transformerless inverter is linked with the grid through a boost converter. The boost converter inductance is rearranged and divided to reduce the earth leakage current of the system. simulations are carried out for the proposed H7 PV grid-tied system and for a system that uses the conventional three phase inverter. The simulation results show that the H7 inverter provides lower leakage current, higher efficiency, and lower total harmonic distortion (THD) compared to the conventional three phase inverter.</span>

We have been characterizing various sensor layers bump-bonded to Medipix detector chips. We report here characterizationthe leakage current variations of a cadmium telluride (CdTe) assembled-Medipix2 assemblyat different temperatures.Medipix detectors are being used in small animal computed tomography (CT) scanner systems known as MARS-CT. The spectroscopic imaging of a mouse and human atheroma using this system has previously been reported [1-2]. In those reports, Medipix2 detectors were used with Si and GaAs sensor layers, respectively. Cadmium telluride (CdTe) is expected to be a useful sensor layer for clinical CT imaging detectors because of its good detection efficiency for x-rays in the energy range up to 120 keV. However, Aan understanding of the detection characteristics of these sensor layers is vital to high-quality imaging. This work presents the results of inhomogeneities within the CdTe sensor, temperature variations and wrinkle pattern instability.We present leakage current variations with temperature and sensitivity inhomogeneity across the detector. This is an extension of the tests previously reported in Aamir R et al [1][3].
