Where Are the British?

I want to take issue with a statement made by Weston et al in their article on "Diaper Dermatitis", (Pediatrics 66:532, 1980). They write, "Although commonly recovered from the rectum, British authorities have convincingly demonstrated that alimentary C albicans does not play a role in diaper candidiasis...." I must say that in my experience, British authorities are rarely recovered from the rectum. Even if Weston et al think otherwise, it really was not very nice of them to say so.
