Abstract Construction project management is difficult process and important part of efficiency and productivity in construction industry. Currently, construction industry is increasing demands on technology, environmental and social construction parameters in the context of maintaining the balance of economic efficiency and sustainability of the construction and realization of buildings. Progressive technology as knowledge systems and building information modeling are the supporting tool for achieving this. Building information modeling is a progressive intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently in planning, designing and buildings and infrastructure managing. Knowledge and building information modeling technology include a lot of functions and opportunities for better and easier way to achieve project goal and affect to construction project management process. Research discusses the issue of construction project management trough building information modeling and knowledge technology. The main aim of the paper is to analyze impact of these technologies on efficiency in construction project management.

With the development of project management theory and information technology, construction project management begins to information and integrated in China. This paper discusses the application of the shared model in construction stage by applying the concept of Building Information Modeling. The method of construction whose object is to accomplish construction information management in the real sense is presented in the platform of BIM technology.

The application of Building Information Modeling has become a trend in construction industry, it is our duty to accelerate BIM application in recent years. Firstly, the paper generally introduced the concepts and characteristics of BIM, and pointed out the problems that existed in Chinas Project Management of Construction Enterprises, and theoretically, technically discussed the solutions to these issues with BIM technology in a qualitative way. At last, the paper proposed some suggestions and outlooks for the development and promotion of BIM technology in China.

The construction industry is facing the increasing process of integration of Industry 4.0 in all phases of the construction project lifecycle. Its exponential growth has been detected in research efforts focused on the usage of the building information modeling (BIM) as one of the most breakthrough innovative approaches in the construction (AEC) industry. BIM brings many advantages as well as changes in the existing construction practice, which allows for adjustment of processes in the most automated possible way. The goal in the design phase is to create a comprehensive BIM model that combines the data of all project participants and represents a digital model of a future building. In the construction phase, the monitoring and controlling the work progress is one of the most important and difficult tasks, and it is today still mostly done manually. Currently, more research and actual implementations are oriented towards the introduction of the automated construction progress monitoring (ACPMon). All of this is the basis for advanced construction project management (ACPMan).

Abstract. Application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction industry has been applied for many years back. This because BIM can provide a better advantage in construction industry in term of controlling and managing construction project during their life cycle. The advantages that can be provide by BIM is focusing on the indoor planning tasks. But, when the construction project involves, besides indoor planning, outdoor planning also is important part that need to be look up. To cover the outdoor planning in construction project, Geographic Information System (GIS) need to be applied. GIS can overcome this problem because GIS mainly for outdoor planning by using their spatial analysis. GIS can offer a high degree of geospatial information and can provide the detailed geometrical and semantic information of building to assisted across improve automation. Towards produce the improved preparation in construction project, BIM and GIS should be integrated. To integrate both domains, the data interoperability between them need to be investigate because they used different data standard. This study focusses on solving the data interoperability through the data integration between BIM and GIS to solve the problem of data mismatch and data missing during data translation process. Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) was used as a data standard to perform the data integration between BIM and GIS. The outcomes from this study show that when the data interoperability applied between BIM and GIS, the problem above can be solved, and the data dimension and their coordinate system also can be control.

The construction process and construction management are highly reliant on the interaction between the triple constraints of project management of quality: scope, time, and cost. The industry has incorporated certain principles and technology, such as lean-based construction principles and Building Information Modeling (BIM), to maximize the time, quality, and cost-efficiency of various construction projects. Analysis and assessment of the factors and functionalities are needed to show their synergic relationships and determine their significant impact on the construction project using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). To gather information, a survey was conducted on the different construction companies in the Philippines. The results generated a model interrelating the triple constraints of project management and how they are affected by incorporating BIM and lean construction principles. The models created established a significant relationship towards all the tripe constraints considering both individual and combined functionalities and factors. An interdisciplinary framework incorporating both BIM and lean principles is conformed to optimize construction stages based on the triple constraints of project management.
