Packaging materials can arise from a wide range of sources and are commonly used for food, medicine, household appliances, and items to enclose or protect products during distribution, storage, sale, delivery, and use. The choice of material (paper, plastic, glass, wood, metal, multi-layer or other packaging) to be used depends on the type and properties of product, the purpose of packaging, and the price. The aim of the investigation is to analyse the morphological composition of packaging waste collected separately in Kaunas (Lithuanian) private households and to evaluate its recycling possibilities. The mixture of paper, plastic, and metal packaging waste was analyzed in the winter and spring (one time per month) in the waste management company JSC "Kauno švara".

The article examines the 12 principles of Beyond Budgeting , proposed by J. Hope and R. Fraser, and the peculiarities of their application to the management of multi-apartment buildings. The possibility of introducing Beyond Budgeting is analyzed not only in management organizations, but also in the direct management of apartment buildings and in creation of a homeowners' association. The results of the implementation of the principles of Beyond Budgeting (change in organizational culture) are analyzed according to the McKinsey 7S model. Recommendations for the implementation of Beyond Budgeting are given in the framework of the theory of organizational change by M. Beer and N. Noria. The positive experience of implementing principles of Beyond Budgeting at OOO Management Company ‘Mayak’ allows us to recommend Beyond Budgeting management to other organizations carrying out entrepreneurial activities in the management of apartment buildings in Russia.

High quality of purchased resources plays a critical role under the conditions of severe international competition. Raw materials, materials and components are purchase for product production and their quality is an essential part in the production of steel at OJSC “BSW – Management Company of the Holding “BMC” holding». The problem of excessively high level of dynamic loads is especially acute for roughing stands. The main reasons for dynamic overloads are intense transient processes occurring in the rolling cycle, the presence of elastic constraints and gaps in the system, imperfection of electric drive system and errors made during development. Therefore, there is a need for selection of material and manufacturing technology for mill rolls capable to withstand such loads for a sufficiently long period. Investigations of destruction causes of experimental mill roll of stand roughing group of mill 150 of section rolling shop at OJSC “BSW – Management Company of the Holding “BMC” holding were carried out. Main classification features are established based on the analysis of the fracture. The results of metallographic studies of microstructure and chemical composition of central and subsurface zone roll fragments are presented. The reason of destruction of experimental mill roll was discovered – nonconformance of roll material grade with the requirements of technological instructions and normative documentation for rough group of stands No. 1–3

Abstract The research investigated tenant understanding and preparedness to embrace renewable energy practice as an alternative to public power supply during an outage from the national grid. International standards of sustainable building occupation from Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methods (BREEAM) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) were adopted to form the parameters of the investigation. The study covered knowledge and utilization of the solar energy system amongst tenants and their readiness to embrace alternative energy systems as well as incentives from the management Company of Turaki Ali House to encourage sustainable occupation. A qualitative and quantitative technique was employed; the interview conducted covered two members of the tenants’ committee and a member of the staff from the management company who has been the desk officer responsible for the property for twenty years. Fifty-six questionnaires were distributed among tenants with forty-one questionnaires returned and used for the analysis. Results from the research revealed limited knowledge of the advantages of the solar energy system over generators; in addition, there was apprehension to embracing the solar system due to the higher initial costs of acquisition and substandard solar systems and components. Managers of the property are reported not have been performing their contractual obligation of the lease, thus justifying the use of individual generators by tenants despite the inherent dangers associated with the practice. The research concluded with a recommendation to raise awareness and encourage the use of sustainable energy sources by means of reviewing the content of tenancy agreements to ensure compliance with sustainable building occupation standards.

Abstract This article provides a cluster analysis of existing technoparks, the sample of which was built according to the completeness of the data presented on the official websites of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the terms of operation. The analysis is carried out in order to determine the best components of the effectiveness of the development of the technopark movement in Russia. According to the analysis of this article, we can talk about a weak relationship between the three sub-indices: the activities of the management company, the activities of residents, the activities of regional authorities. The obtained data can serve as a starting base for further construction of an econometric model of the efficiency factors of technoparks.
