The parasitoid wasp Clistopyga melanoptera Castillo, Sääksjärvi & Bordera, 2016 was described recently and was known only from the type locality, Cusco, Peru. Here we provide a first record of this species for Brazil, at Manaus, 1700 km from the type locality. A distribution map, images and morphological variations are provided.

In this study we report the first record of the giant torrent frog Megaelosia apuana in the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. The finding of this species at Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural (RPPN) Mata do Sossego, municipality of Simonésia, east of Minas Gerais extends its geographic distribution by 120 km from the type locality, and 45 km northwest from its westernmost known record. A geographic distribution map is presented.

Using genetic and morphological evidence, we provide the first report of Pristimantis citriogaster (Duellman, 1992) from Ecuador (previously only know from the type locality in eastern lowlands of Peru). The new records in Ecuador also represent an altitudinal extension.

We report the first record of Hyalinobatrachium iaspidiense (Ayarzaguena, 1992) from Amapá state, Brazil. This record is 1,020 km east from the type locality at Quebrada de Jaspe, San Ignacio de Yuraní, Bolívar state, Venezuela, and extends the distribution of the species 345 km north of the nearest known locality in Para. We also provide a map of the localities reported in the literature.

Notidobiella amazoniana Holzenthal & Blahnik, 2010 was known only from the type locality in Amazonas state, Brazil. Herein, we provide the first record of N. amazoniana for Roraima state, thus extending the geographic range of this species to the northernmost state of Brazil. Its occurrence in Roraima also represents the first record of the family Sericostomatidae for the state and the most northern record of the genus in South America. Information on the holotype of N. amazoniana and a distribution map for all species of Notidobiella are provided.

The male terminalia of a non-type Diathoneura longipennis (Malloch 1926) specimen, collected in Peru, were dissected and analyzed. The aedeagus and associated sclerites were found tohave been fixed at a late stage of protrusion, resulting in a different morphology, when compared to thetwo previous publications, which were fixed at earlier stages. Consequently, additional details of certainanatomical parts were observed and a better understanding of the aedeagus protruding process was attained.Diathoneura longipennis has been previously identified in San Mateo, Alajuela, Costa Rica (type locality)and Panama, and this specimen represents the first record of this species in South America.

The family Tischeriidae is recorded from Madagascar for the first time. Coptotriche alavelona Lees and Stonis, sp. n., is described from high elevation tropical moist forest of Madagascar, and its proposed generic placement discussed. DNA of this species has been extracted and conserved for future phylogenetic or barcoding studies. The external features and male genitalia are figured and described. An updated checklist and a distribution map for all 13 Tischeriidae species currently recorded from the Afrotropics are provided.
