Camila’s Coral Snake, Micrurus camilae Renjifo & Lundberg, 2003, is known only by 3 collected specimens. In this work, we report for the first time the presence of M. camilae in the middle Magdalena Valley, and we add data about color variation in the species. The new record extends the distributional range of M. camilae by nearly 200 km in a straight line from Vereda El Rayo, Tarazá, Antioquia, which is the nearest point previously reported.

The invasive Hemidactylus mabouia (Moreau de Jonnès, 1818) is one of the most widespread introduced species of reptiles, being present in the New World at least 500 years ago. In this work, we report for the first time, the presence of the invasive gecko H. mabouia in the dry Chaco, a biogeographic region included in the Gran Chaco Sudamericano. We collected 3 individuals in an urban zone at Las Lomitas, Patiño department, Formosa Province, Argentina. This new record extends the distribution range of this introduced species by nearly 300 km (in a straight line) from Formosa city, the nearest point previously reported.

The E. ovina group of species is proposed here to include Edessa ovina Dallas, 1851 from Trinidad and Tobago, Colombia, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina (new records) and Guyana; E. impura Bergroth, 1891 from Brazil and Argentina (new record); E. sahlbergii Stål, 1872 restricted to Brazil; and E. graziae sp. nov. from Brazil and Argentina. The E. ovina group can be identified by the apex of the second pair of wings narrowing distally and by a tumid area on the ventral surface of the pygophore (male genitalia) projected posteriorly. Descriptions, measurements, and illustrations of the metasternal process, external and internal genitalia of male and female are provided. A map with the distribution of the species is presented. The holotype of Edessa ovina is designated here. Edessa argali Breddin, 1903 is considered a junior synonym of E. impura. Females of E. ovina and E. impura, and male of E. sahlbergii are described for the first time.

Ayerbe’s snail-eater Sibon ayerbeorum is a nocturnal, tree-dwelling snake which was recently described based on four specimens collected in the proximity of Munchique National Natural Park, department of Cauca, Colombia, above 1000 m altitude. We here expand the distribution range of S. ayerbeorum into the department of Chocó, Colombia. The new record extends the distributional range of the Ayerbe’s snail-eater by nearly 288 km in a straight-line north-western ward from its type locality and is more than 1000 m below it.

AbstractWe report new records and corological data for three Moroccan marine macroalgae that complete their distribution information. Radicilingua thysanorhizans is new record for Morocco; Champia compressa is recorded for the first time from the eastern coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Diplothamnion jolyi is widely distributed in the western coast of the Atlantic coast and Pacific Islands, and recently reported from the Mediterranean Sea; this new record from Moroccan Atlantic coast extends their distribution range.Key words: Algae, Atlantic Ocean, Champia compressa, Diplothamnion jolyi, Radicilingua thysanorhizans.ResumenSe aportan nuevos registros y datos corológicos para tres macroalgas marinas de Marruecos, que completan la información sobre su distribución. During a survey on Eriophyoid Mites in southwest of East Azerbaijan province (Iran), Aceria zygofabae n. sp. and Aceria alkannae n. sp. were found on Zygophyllum fabago L. (Zygophyllaceae) and Alkanna bracteosa Boiss. (Boraginaceae), respectively. They are described and illustrated here. Four further Aceria species were collected and identified as A. eucricotes (Nalepa, 1892), A. cynodonis Wilson, 1959, A. chenopodia Xue, Sadeghi & Hong, 2009 and A. tristriata (Nalepa, 1890) (protogyne and deutogyne). Aceria cynodonis is a new record for Iran Eriophyoid fauna whereas the other species were found for the first time in East Azerbaijan.

Fungal diseases of cotton plant (Gossypium hirsutum L.) were studied during July, 2011 to June, 2012. Eleven cotton varieties were selected for the experiment. Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissler, Aspergillus niger van Tiegh, Colletotrichum gossypii Sowthworth, Colletotrichum dematium (Pers.) Grove, Curvularia clavata Jain, Fusarium sp., Gleotrichum sp., Hyalopycnis sp., Pestalotiopsis guepinii (Desm.) Stay, and a sterile fungus were isolated from infected leaves of cotton varieties CB6 and CB11. Colletotrichum gossypii was isolated from both the varieties and C. dematium was exclusively isolated from CB6. Varieties CB6 and CB11 were more susceptible than other varieties. Cotton varieties CB1, CB2, and CB3 showed negligible infection on leaves and bolls. Colletotrichum gossypii and Hyalopycnis sp. are new record for Bangladesh. Moreover, association of C. dematium, Gleotrichum sp., P. guepinii and Hyalopycnis sp. with cotton is being reported first time. The three fungi Colletotrichum. gossypii, C. dematium and Hyalopycnis sp. are described and illustrated in this account as new Deuteromycetous records for Bangladesh.Journal of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, Vol. 39, No. 2, 213-221, 2015

Two new species of the tribe Helopini (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) are described from Turkey: Nalassus (Nalassus) becvari sp. nov. (Elazığ Province) and Hedyphanes (Hedyphanes) kmenti sp. nov. (Artvin Province). The first species is characterized by strongly thickened antennomeres 2–8 and differs from all Turkish Nalassus s. str. Mulsant, 1854 in the ventral aspect of eye, which bears a weak posterior ventral impression (rather than a distinct groove of other species). The second species belongs to the species group with asperate punctation of the prothoracic hypomera and differs from all Hedyphanes Fischer von Waldheim, 1820 in the presence of suberect pubescence on both sides of elytral base. Distribution of some Helopini (the Helops genus-group, subtribe Helopina) from Anatolia and Cyprus is updated with new data. Hedyphanes mannerheimi Faldermann, 1837 is recorded for Turkey (Iğdır Province) for the first time. Helops caeruleus caeruleus Linnaeus, 1758 from Pervolia is a new record for Cyprus and the occurrence is probably a result of anthropogenic introduction.

Seira dowlingi (Wray, 1953) is recorded for the first time in Peru and Brazil from five states, including Fernando de Noronha archipelago plus a new record from United States. These new records support that S. dowlingi has a wide distribution in Neotropical Region, and expanded to 34 the number of species of Seira Lubbock, 1870 found in Brazil. In addition, our revision excluded the record of Seira domestica (Nicolet, 1842) for Brazil.

We report new records of pholcid species for northern Argentina. Guaranita yaculica Huber, 2000 and Mesabolivar uruguayensis Machado Laborda, Simó & Brescovit, 2013 are reported for the first time for Corrientes province, whereas Aymaria calilegua Huber, 2000 and Nerudia atacama Huber, 2000 are for the first time reported for Salta province. The last corresponds to a new record for Argentina. We also expand the known distribution of Guaranita goloboffi Huber, 2000, Chibchea salta Huber, 2000, and Pholcus phalangioides (Fuesslin, 1775) for Salta province.
