We present new records of Astyanax argyrimarginatus Garutti, 1999 for the Xingu basin and distribution extension of approximately 1,000 km towards north-west in Tocantins-Araguaia basin. The species was previously known only from tributary of upper rio Araguaia, Goiás and Mato-Grosso states, Brazil.

New locality records and distribution map for the recently described Elachistocleis magnus are here presented. Originally described from Rondônia state, western Brazil (Amazonia), E. magnus was until now recorded for only two additional localities in the same state. The new records presented herein, which considerably enlarge the known range of the species, include three additional Brazilian states – Amazonas, Pará, and Mato Grosso (including records in the Brazilian Cerrado). We provide color description of the species in life, and discuss variation in habitats used by this species.

We reviewed the geographical distribution of Pseudoeryx plicatilis in South America, and present new records in Bolivia and from nine Brazilian states. This is the first record of P. plicatilis in the states of Acre, Amapá, and Roraima, northern region of Brazil. The presence of P. plicatilis in the municipality of Alta Floresta expands its distribution about 650- 700 km northward in the state of Mato Grosso, and about 620 km southward from the nearest localities in the state of Pará. Other new records are presented, which contribute to the knowledge of the distribution of P. plicatilis in South America.

Ganoderma is a cosmopolitan genus of fungi with species distributed in temperate and tropical regions. Species of Ganoderma in living Leguminosae were observed in Park de la Salud in Pance, Cali, Colombia and we record G. multiplicatum for the first time from Colombia. A distribution map of this genus in the Neotropical region is presented.

We report a range extension of the Grey Woolly Monkey, Lagothrix cana, from southwestern Amazonia, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Lagothrix cana was seen in a forest fragment near the “arc of deforestation”. This new record shows the need for conservation of forests in the region to protect this endangered species.

<p>Fornecemos novos registros e um mapa de distribuição geográfica atualizado de Pseudopaludicola pocoto Magalhães, Loebmann, Kokubum, Haddad &amp; Garda, 2014 para os estados brasileiros do Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte e Pernambuco. O presente trabalho auxilia a preencher lacunas na distribuição desta espécie descrita para o domínio Caatinga, o que pode ser útil em futuros planos de conservação.</p><p><strong>Palavras chave</strong>: Amphibia, Caatinga, neotrópicos, Semi-árido.</p><p><strong>Abstract</strong>: We provide new records and an updated geographic distribution map of Pseudopaludicola pocoto Magalhães, Loebmann, Kokubum, Haddad &amp; Garda, 2014 for the Brazilian states of Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte and Pernambuco. Abstractis a small didelphid marsupial that inhabits central and western South America, including Bolivia and western Brazil. In this report, we provide new distributional records based on 14 specimens deposited in mammal collections. Records from Vale de São Domingos and Cáceres, Mato Grosso state, Brazil, extend approximately 200 km northeastward of the currently known range of the species. Based on recent records, published data, and review of specimens deposited in scientific collections, we present an updated map of the geographic distribution of Diploglossus monotropis in Colombia. Our data show that this species has a wide geographical distribution, including the Pacific versant of the Cordillera Occidental, the inter-Andean valley of the Magdalena River, and the Caribbean lowlands of northern Colombia.

We report new records for the poorly known species Hylodes babax (fourth record), Dendropsophus ruschii (fourth record) and Bokermannohyla ibitipoca (fifth record), from an Atlantic Forest fragment in the eastern region of the Mantiqueira mountain range in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
