Three–dimensional printed proximal radial plate for radial reconstruction after tumor resection. A Case Report and Literature Review.

Purpose: To describe the clinical and histopathological findings of a case of intraocular metastasis due to colorectal adenocarcinoma and to carry out a literature review. Case Report: A 64-year-old man with a history of tumor resection due to infiltrating colorectal adenocarcinoma three years previously sought ophthalmological care because of severe ocular pain without response to medical treatment and progressive vision loss in the left eye. On ultrasonographic examination, there was a heterogeneous intraocular choroidal tumor, which occupied approximately 40% of the vitreous cavity, as well as peritumoral serous retinal detachment. The patient underwent left eyeball enucleation. The histopathological diagnosis was metastatic tubular adenocarcinoma involving the retina and choroid that partially infiltrated the sclera and the proximal optic nerve. Conclusion: The present case highlights a rare pathological entity associated with variable therapeutic schemes and survival times and poor prognosis in patients with metastatic intraocular tumors due to colorectal adenocarcinoma.

Abstract Background: Horseshoe kidney (HSK) have always been a challenge for urologists depending on its particular anatomy. We report a case of renal tumor in a patient with HSK, who underwent tumor resection by retroperitoneal robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. Case Presentations: A 47-year-old man presented to our hospital with a solid renal mass. Computed tomography urography (CTU) showed a 4.3 × 4.4 cm mass in the upper pole of the right kidney. Patients received a retroperitoneal robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy on basis of three-dimensional (3D) reconstructions.Conclusion: The present case report highlights the feasibility of robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for horseshoe kidney, and the advantages of preoperative 3D reconstructions.

Abstract Aim The aims of this report are to present a case of nonsyndromic multiple supernumerary teeth and a discussion of the value of three-dimensional computerized tomography (3D CT) for precise radiographic imaging of the anomaly. Background Multiple supernumerary teeth without any associated syndromes are very rare. Exact radiographic presentations with an associated diagnosis of nonsyndromic multiple supernumerary teeth have not been well published. Report A young Chinese female patient presented with asymmetrical nonsyndromic multiple supernumerary teeth in the premolar and molar regions of her mouth. A 3D CT was used to evaluate the exact location and orientation of these teeth and to guide the treatment strategy. Summary The use of 3D CT for the evaluation of supernumerary teeth proved to be very useful in determining their size, location, and state of development, as well as their impact on adjacent teeth and tissues in a 15-year-old patient. Abstract BACKGROUND AND IMPORTANCE: Three-dimensional ultrasound navigation has been performed to assist in resection of cranial and spinal tumors, but to the best of our knowledge, no one has described the use of real-time 3-dimensional ultrasound navigation in the resection of neck tumors beyond biopsy. CLINICAL PRESENTATION: This case report describes the use of 3-dimensional ultrasonic navigation in assisting with resection of a large neck paraganglioma. The 3-dimensional ultrasonic navigation improved real-time visualization of the carotid arteries, the trachea, and other vital structures. CONCLUSION: The use of 3-dimensional ultrasound navigation should be considered in aiding resection of large neck tumors because it can allow more efficient and safer tumor resection.

Cystadenofibromas of the fallopian tubes are very rare benign tumors and very few cases have been reported in the literature worldwide. Usually, the tumor is asymptomatic, and for almost all cases reported, the tumors were incidentally discovered during surgery for other genital pathology. We report the case of a 30-year-old woman with a serous cystadenofibroma of the fallopian tube, presenting with chronic abdominal pain and secondary infertility. The diagnosis of tubal tumor was formulated before surgery and confirmed during laparoscopic surgery. Both 3D ultrasound and HDlive were useful tools for the diagnosis. The ultrasound diagnosis was helpful in planning appropriate surgical management.
