Streptococcus pseudoporcinus, a ß-haemolytic Streptococcus is known to cause genital infections. Author report a rare case of Streptococcus pseudoporcinus bacteremia in an immune-compromised male patient diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia eight months back. The organism was identified as a beta hemolytic bacterium which was catalase negative, oxidase positive and bacitracin resistant. Automated methods (VITEK-2) confirmed the organism to be Streptococcus pseudoporcinus.

Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis is most commonly seen in immunocompromised patients. Besides, skin lesions may also develop due to invasive aspergillosis in those patients. A 49-year-old male patient was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. The patient developed bullous and zosteriform lesions on the skin after the 21st day of hospitalization. The skin biopsy showed hyphae. Disseminated skin aspergillosis was diagnosed to the patient. Voricanazole treatment was initiated. The patient was discharged once the lesions started to disappear.

Leukemia cutis (LC) is a rare cutaneous manifestation of leukemia. Clinical presentation of the disease differs among patients depending on types. LC can precede, follow, occur simultaneously with, or present in the absence of the systemic leukemia. Leukemic involvement of the skin may appear as initial manifestation of recurrence or dissemination of systemic disease. Here we report a case of a 32-year-old male patient known to have acute myeloid leukemia with multiple cutaneous lesions diagnosed as LC. J Enam Med Col 2019; 9(2): 133-135
