Osteosarcomas are primary malignant tumors of bone that are characterized by the production of osteoid or immature bone by the malignant cells. Osteosarcomas are uncommon tumors. Most articles reveal difficulty in diagnosing osteosarcoma in early stage due to its resemblance to benign lesion. That’s why we prefer to do case report for documentation. Diagnosis of the tumor is important especially in early stages for improving prognosis. This case report is of a 21 years old female who presented at Primary Health Care Centre with swelling above right knee post trauma a month ago. Previously she was diagnosed as Non ossifying fibroma (which is a benign lesion and uncommon to change to malignant lesion) at the same site in 2017.

Cancer of the pancreas is a highly lethal malignancy. It is considered as the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States and second only to colorectal cancer as a cause of digestive cancer-related death. It is hoped that detection of asymptomatic and early stage of disease is potentially curable pancreatic cancer and it will improve outcomes. Our case report is 45 years old female who presented at our primary health care centre with obstructive jaundice for only 2 weeks and no weight loss, vague abdominal pain. She had intermittent epigastric pain for past few months and diagnosed as gastroesophageal reflex. Also, she had chronic anemia and need blood transfusion in the past 3 years. No family history of pancreatic cancer and no other risk factor. Most articles reveal difficulty in diagnosing pancreatic cancer in early stage and young age group due to its resemblance to benign lesion. That’s why we prefer to do case report for documentation. Diagnosis of the tumor is important especially in early stages for improving prognosis.

At the end of 2019, coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2). Worldwide researchers and physician try to explore the mechanisms of damage induced by virus, they focus on the short-term and long-term immune-mediated consequences induced by the virus infection. Every day discover a new pathological condition induced by virus and new symptoms and disease may occur after recovery from disease. Our case report is 41 years old, Indian lady who presented to our primary health care centre complaining of multiple small hand joints pain, both elbows and knees pain with swelling of them and prolonged morning stiffness, diagnosed seropositive rheumatoid arthritis (RA) (arthritis, positive rheumatoid factor (RF), and X-ray changes) after 1 month recovery from COVID-19 infection. She did not have any joint pain and she had negative RF before COVID-19 infection with no family history of RA.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the incidence and histological type of lesions affecting the ovaries and to analyze employed methods of invasive treatment. Materials&Methods: Medical records of patients who were treated surgically for ovarian tumors in the years 2015 -2019 were reviewed. The study group was comprised of 31 female patients. Results: During 5 years time, there were 31 girls in the age from 3 months to 17 years hospitalized in the department. The mean age was 11 years. Histopathological examination was performed in all of these cases. 12 patients were diagnosed with malignant lesion, 19 with benign lesion. The most commonly diagnosed malignant tumors were a dysgerminoma and a mixed germ cell tumor. In the group of benign lesions, the most frequent tumor type was mature teratoma. The first occurring symptom was abdominal pain. Some of the lesions were diagnosed accidentally during ultrasonography. The diagnostics was expanded depending on the size of the tumor, staging and clinical condition of the patient. All the patients were treated surgically, 16 of them underwent laparoscopic surgery. Torsion of the ovary or oviduct was observed in 3 cases. Chemotherapy was introduced in 8 cases as complementary treatment. Conclusions: The most commonly diagnosed tumor was mature teratoma. Ultrasonography is the most frequent method of the ovaries’ examination. Ovarian lesions are characterized by non-specific clinical symptoms, which is associated with prevalent incidental detection during ultrasonography.

Objective. To investigate the level and causes of stress and the risk of onset of burnout syndrome among physicians employed at the Primary Health Care Centre, Banja Luka.

Subjects and Methods. Between March 1, 2018, and May 31, 2018 all physicians from the Primary Health Care Centre, Banja Luka were offered the following questionnaires to fill in: a socio-demographic questionnaire, a questionnaire for self-assessment of the level of stress and the Maslach Burnout Inventory for assessment of the risk of burnout syndrome. Results. Out of 211 physicians, 85.8% were female. A high level of stress was found in 77.7% of the subjects. Older doctors had higher levels of emotional exhaustion compared to younger doctors with a shorter length of service (r=0.236, P=0.01). Emotional exhaustion was significantly correlated with a high level of depersonalization, a low level of personal accomplishment and a high level of stress (r=0.380, r=-0.174 and r=0.574, P=0.01, P=0.04 and P<0.01, respectively). Depersonalization correlated with a low level of personal accomplishment and stress (r=-0.347 and r=0.283, P<0.01 and P=0.01, respectively), while the level of personal accomplishment was in a negative correlation with stress (r=-0.281, P=0.01). A high stress level was associated with a high degree of emotional exhaustion (OR 56.543; 95% CI 11.35-213.09; P<0.001) as well as lack of personal accomplishment (OR 0.155; 95% CI 0.04-0.50; P=0.003).

Conclusion. A high level of stress was associated with older age, female gender, as well as with a high degree of emotional exhaustion and a lack of personal accomplishment. Preventive measures are warranted.

Background: Nigeria is among the five countries accounting for half of the world’s unimmunised children. Maternal knowledge and attitude play key roles in uptake and timeliness of routine childhood vaccination. This study assessed immunisation-related knowledge, attitudes and promotive practices among mothers in Abakaliki Ebonyi State Nigeria. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study among 117 mothers with children aged 0-23 months attending a Primary Health Care Centre in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. Data were collected using an interviewer-administered questionnaire and analysed using SPSS version 20 with a p value of ≤ 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: Over half (55.6%) of the respondents were aged 26-35years while 47% had secondary school education. Majority (91.5%) had previously vaccinated their children, but only 31.7% knew the dosing of polio vaccine. Less than half (42%) of the mothers had adequate knowledge about routes of vaccine administration. About half (49.7%) had adequate knowledge about the children’s next vaccination appointments. Most (94%) considered immunisation important in preventing childhood diseases with up to 95% of them willing to bring their children for immunisation. Only 57.3% were satisfied with the adequacy of immunisation-related information received from the clinic. Majority (81.2%) were timely in accessing immunisation for their babies. Educational status (P=0.035) and child’s age (P=0.008) were associated with knowledge and practice of immunisation respectively. Conclusion: Mothers in this study had good immunisation-related practices and positive attitude towards immunisation. Although majority had good knowledge, some knowledge gaps were identified. We recommend improved maternal education and content of clinic-based education on immunisation.
