Abstract. The computer graphics of regular polygons and their applications is a scarcely studied area that allows to create situations of significant learning by its mathematical and geometric content. This research presents the design and programming of regular polygons and composite sacred figures using computational analytical geometry and development tools such as C#, GDI+ graphics engine and Java with SWING graphical interface. In order to achieve this, the Agile Extreme Programming (XP) methodology has been used to translate computer graphics software applications, with the purpose of understanding how computer graphics work to generate combinations of geometric figures based on regular polygons, fully parameterizable. The proof of concept, which included the evaluation of the application performance in both the .NET framework and the NetBeans IDE were carried out with a student’s group of engineering in Computer Graphics subject.

Computer graphics systems existing today allow for the manipulation of increasingly complex visual displays. The visualisation of information in a computer-based medium suggests solutions to two critical problems: first, the overabundance of alphanumeric information routinely generated by information systems and second, the expression complexity in situations that face the business and research communities. Graphic designers accustomed to handling complex scientific and technical information in a systematic and structural way offer a resource for the development of more effective presentations of computer-generated material. Certain graphic designers who specialise in informational graphics are interested in beginning a conversation with the people developing computer graphics software and firmware. The outcome of these dialogues would be the articulation and utilisation of the principles and elements of effective visual design.

This paper discusses the organization and motivation for a workshop devoted to the experimental use of 3D computer graphics to model the human figure. The workshop introduced a simple technique for modeling a leg by lofting a series of circles into the appropriate shape using sketches drawn from life. This approach links the expressive world of drawing to the impersonal mechanical tasks of computer modeling. The workshop also served as an introduction to 3D modeling and the MAYA 3D Computer Graphics Software Graphical User Interface. The drawing exercises of Kimon Nicolaïdes are discussed and provide inspiration to explore alternatives to photo-realistic modeling that reflect the artistic legacy of early modernist experiments such as cubism and futurism.

The development of today's smartphone technology has a huge impact to the world of information technology and telecommunications. The emergence of a variety of applications for smartphones can improve the performance and effectiveness of an activity. Some restaurants have made use of smartphones in the business process, but only as a recording medium order or see a list of menus available in the restaurant. The purpose of this paper is to make the application as a whole that integrated the frontend and backend operations that help the process from ordering food, serving customer to managing restaurant data such as restaurant menus, employees, and transactions. The method used is the method of analysis (study of literature, analysis of similar applications, questionnaires, and interviews) and extreme programming design method. The results of this research is frontend application for food ordering and restaurant service and a backend system that has additional features such as restaurant profiles, restaurant menu data includes descriptions, recommended menuand images, promos, restaurant rating or menu rating, the waiter call feature, view bill and request features bill. The conclusion of this research is the developed application can help ordering process and restaurant servicesprocess in a restaurant with good customer satisfaction and good application performance.
