The undertaken research is devoted to the analysis of the concept of text tonality in modern linguistics. The article discusses the definition of the concept of tonality in Russian, English, French and Chinese dictionaries. In studies on the linguistics of the text, the concept of tonality is defined as a category in which the emotional-volitional attitude of the author of the text is reflected. Within the framework of the cognitive approach, it is considered as a complex category in which the determined tonality of the text depends not only on the speaker's personality, his individual understanding of the subject of speech (associations and assessment of the subject), but also on his level of culture, emotional mood. Over the past 20 years, the concept of sentiment has been actively used in the field of computational linguistics, in international research on automatic text analysis. The term «tonality» (or «sentiment») refers to the emotional assessment expressed in the text. The interpretation of this concept is directly related to the emotional component. It is quite logical that the emotive function of language is distinguished in linguistic literature, the purpose of which is to implement a specific form of emotional communication of people. So, the concepts of tonality and emotivity come into close connection with each other, but nevertheless they cannot be considered identical, since tonality as a category of text is a broader concept than emotivity. This is due to the fact that tonality has some polarity, while emotivity is represented by a palette of emotions and can refer the text to either a positive or negative tonality.

Collocation as a syntactical and semantic unit, in which one of lexical components is combined with the other distinguished element with the high level of predictability, is in the focus of text researchers. They are studied using the automatic text analysis, compiling general and terminological dictionaries. A large amount of term combinations in scientific texts impels linguists to study conditions that have lead to forming such unities, and also possibilities of their summarization in one-word. The spreading of word combinations with adverbial or adjectival component has become the subject of this paper. A part of them form numerous term families of split nominations with a similar key word. In scientific text the number of terms grows and requires the attention of researchers to the structure of phrases and the possibility of converting them into a stable notion of unity and further shortening them into “words-univerbs” that become some kind of a simple affixed creation with one root: солянокислий гематин – гемін. Others turn into сomposites – consequences: blood corpuscle – білі кров’яні тільця – еритроцити – білокрівці, термофіли, теплолюбні організми, теплолюби. In systems of the automated text analysis it is important to highlight phrases-collocations (constant composition, frequent of repetition of the same meaning) claiming the role of terms. Outlining type of word-combinations according to their structure is relevant. Adjectives and nouns, nouns, nouns and verb word-combinations are best studied nowadays. Resent years three-componental adverbial-and-atributtive-and-substantive terms, that show the importance of fixing in a term some aspects of characteristics of basic component: біологічно активна речовина, морфологічно комунікативно спрямована категорія, морфологічна когнітивно орієнтована категорія, морфологічна формально спрямована категорія.

In the pantheon of approaches open to participants in the pacific settlement of disputes, good offices holds a noteworthy place. The evolution of good offices over the past century is concurrent with a trend of considerable transformation within international law, including – amongst other changes – a move away from a state-led legal order, including in good offices following the emergence of the heads of international organisations as its prime users, and a process of legalisation and specialisation within the subject that has entirely altered its character. These changes have led to a redefinition of good offices that stresses the actor carrying out the role above the form that it takes. To accompany these changes in practice, there is a need for a transformation in the legal analysis and definition of good offices. One potential option in achieving this end is Bell'slex pacificatoria. If good offices is to continue to play a significant role in the settlement of violent conflicts, a fully developed legal analysis is necessary to grasp both its historical development and its potential future role.

Analyzing political text can answer many pressing questions in political science, from understanding political ideology to mapping the effects of censorship in authoritarian states. This makes the study of political text and speech an important part of the political science methodological toolbox. The confluence of increasing availability of large digital text collections, plentiful computational power, and methodological innovations has led to many researchers adopting techniques of automatic text analysis for coding and analyzing textual data. In what is sometimes termed the “text as data” approach, texts are converted to a numerical representation, and various techniques such as dictionary analysis, automatic scaling, topic modeling, and machine learning are used to find patterns in and test hypotheses on these data. These methods all make certain assumptions and need to be validated to assess their fitness for any particular task and domain.
