Abstract- At this time motorcycle theft cases are still often occur plus the increasing use of motorcycle vehicles, motorcycle theft is caused by the lack of a security system on the ignition which only uses keys and key covers, where security systems like this have been understood mostly motorcycle thieves, the necessity of a motorcycle safety system is needed. To overcome this, a Motorcycle Safety System was made using Arduno-based GPS and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to prevent and facilitate the recovery of stolen motor vehicles. The results of this study, the system is made using the Global Positioning System (GPS) as a tool to detect the location of motorcycles, and smart key contacts are added using RFID, SMS gateway and DC-DC Converter.

The fisherman’s crossing the borders and identification of locations in the sea is becoming a difficult task with existing equipment’s provide to the fisherman’s as a result they cross the borders. In our day-to-day life we hear about many Tamil Fishermen being caughtand put under Sri Lankan Naval custody. The sea border between thecountries is not easily identifiable, which is the main reason for this offence. Moreover, in cases of imminent natural disasters, failure or delayin notifying concerned personnel to evacuate results in loss of life on alarge scale. In this paper we have proposed a method which protects thefishermen by logging their entries and exits in the harbour using embeddedsystem, notifying the country’s sea border to them by using Global Positioning System (GPS), GeoFencing and Mobile Systems. We use GPSas a method to track the current location of the fishermen. The GPS’current latitude and longitude coordinates are sent to the database wherethe administrator utilizes it for continuous tracking and monitoring of theuser, if in distress using their credentials and last known location, currentlocation predictions can be made. Another benefit being the logging procedures help official authoritative agencies to identify fishermen and their activities for their own safety and security.

In recent years, smartphones have become more popular. Along with the increasing number of smartphone users, more features are requested by the users which can be used to solve their daily life problems. One of the most popular applications is related to location-based detection. Almost all smartphones have a feature of Global Positioning System (GPS). It can help users to go from one place to another place without getting lost by connecting to Google Map. However, there are some limitations to the GPS. When the GPS is used inside a building, it is difficult to search where the users are located, on which floor or room they are, and how to access the room inside the building. It is because GPS cannot show the user which level or room location the users are currently at. One of the possible solutions is using an Indoor Positioning System (IPS) which can detect an object or person inside a building by producing some signals that can be received by smartphones. This research aims to develop an application to monitor the movement of humans inside a building with low cost and low energy by using Android smartphones as the medium. It can get the coordinate of location by using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon inside the building. It can also be used to detect multiple users in the same room.

This paper examines the distribution of hospitality services in Uyo Urban, Nigeria. GIS method was the primary tool used for data collection. A global positioning system (GPS) Garmin 60 model was used in tracking the location of 102 hospitality services in the study area. One hypothesis was stated and tested using the nearest neighbour analysis. The finding shows evidence of clustering of the various hospitality services. The tested hypothesis further indicated that hospitality services clustered in areas that guarantee a sustainable level of patronage to maximize profit. Thus, the hospitality services clustered in selected streets in the metropolis while limited numbers were found outside the city’s central area.
