AbstractIn this paper, the first reported waterproof inkjet-printed dual-band monopole antenna on the flexible organic paper substrate is presented. The antenna, which operates at 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz, is inkjet-printed on commercially available photopaper using conductive silver nano-particle ink. To protect it from ambient humidity, a 1 µm thick Parylene-C layer was deposited on top of the antenna. To verify its waterproof capability, the Parylene-C coated antennas were submerged in distilled water for 48 days, and no significant performance degradation was observed in its performance.

This paper focuses on the design and fabrication of dual band antenna for UHF RFID and ISM RFID applications. The U-shaped patch loaded with dipole is introduced and investigated. The antenna can be performed dual-band frequencies at 0.915 GHz and 2.4 GHz required in RFID applications with reflection coefficient is less than -10 dB. The lower band can be varied by adjusting both dipole arms length and upper band is tuned by U-shaped patches. The gains of the design with a size 130 45 1.6 mm3 are performed 1.89 dB and 3.65 dB for single and dual band respectively. This compact and low cost dual band antenna also performed total efficiency greater than 80%. The design methodology and antenna measurement results are both presented and discussed in this letter.

In this paper, a 15* 80 sized antenna is designed over a paper substrate to test its flexible properties. The proposed antenna feed by a grounded coplanar waveguide(GCPW) is stimulated and the measured results show the operating Dual Band of the antenna cover(3.34-3.62 GHz) and (5.92-6.24 GHz) with the reflection coefficient |S11|< -15dB.These frequency bands operate over SHF bands and hence supports Fixed Mobile Communication and WLAN applications.
