During a survey of the flat mites (Tenuipalpidae) on forest trees and agricultural crops in five different sites of the Apulian territories (Southern Italy) in 2019, Brevipalpus recki (Livschitz and Mitrofanov) and Cenopalpus longirostris (Livschitz and Mitrofanov) were collected on Quercus pubescens (Willdenow) (Fagaceae). The authors give an account of the new record of C. longirostris, which was not listed in the previous Italian fauna, and of the finding of B. recki in southern Italy, since it was only mentioned from the northern region of the country so far. In addition, the paper lists Q. pubescens as a new host plant for C. longirostris.

Until now eight species in the genus Eotetranychus were known from Italy and nine from France. This study reports the presence of two additional species in Italy: E. aceri Reck and E. fraxini Reck and one in France: E. uncatus Garman. New host plants are reported for E. rubiphilus Reck and E. aceri, and distributional and host plant data are recorded for several other species. E. fraxini was previously known only from Georgia and Hungary and is redescribed here.

Leptoglossus zonatus (Dallas) (Heteroptera: Coreidae) is a phytophagous bug widely found in the American continent. This species is associated with different crops, which they use to establish due to the favorable food supply and conditions for their development. The aim of this work was to record the occurrence of L. zonatus attacking starfruit in Sinop, Mato Grosso, Brazil and report a new host plant to this bug species. Adults and immatures were found between September and November of 2009 feeding on starfruit (Averrhoa carambola L.) in Sinop, Mato Grosso, Brazil. The attack affected the fruit quality, allowing other insects, such as some Phoridae species, to access to the fruit secretions through the hole made by the rostrum of this bug and then causing damage to the quality of the fruit.

A novel species, Micropeltis goniothalamicola and a new record Scolecopeltidium menglaense were collected from Mae Fah Luang Botanical Gardens, Thailand. Our new taxon is different from other species in Micropeltis in having relatively smaller ascomata, 6–8-spored asci and 4–5-septate ascospores covering with mucilaginous sheath. Our new record, S. menglaense is the first host recorded from Jasmine grandiflorum (Oleaceae). Morphological comparison coupled with phylogenetic analysis of combined LSU and ITS sequence data provide evidence for the new species and new host record.
