Bali National Golf Resort has a high level of non-linear load usage. A harmonic is emerged due to a high level of non-linear load usage which was the main problem on the quality of electric power. On the other hand, it is also lead to an adverse impact for the electric power system such as the wave form and voltage were not sinusoidal. Then, in order to reduce it, an active filter could be used as one of the best way. This research focused on the simulation of PID (Proportional Integral Derivate) Controller towards an active filter to reduce the harmonic and MATLAB R2013 software that applicated as the instrument. As the result,the usage of PID Controller on the active filter could reduce the THDi into 1.89% and THDv into 0.59 % as an average percentage at Bali National Golf Resort.

Priyo Sasmoko, in this paper explain that the need of electric power recently progressively complex, not only the requirement of availability of electricity, but the quality of energy have become prime facie demand. Studies of electricity quality have been conducted by many experts, one of them is about harmonic. Harmonic represent waving current or tension which is tension distortion at electric power system mains so that can result unideal waveform. The study of harmonic required appliance or obyek which need to be checked. In this research Simulator Generator Harmonik is made  a harmonic generator module which can deputize the appliance or obyek yielding harmonic with harmonic component and the THD which can be varried. This module works by dividing one cycle of mains become some slots so it can be got harmonic component as desired. Electronic equipments, widely used in present living era, required to have improved power quality. When such type of equipments are connected to electric supply distribution system, they introduce non sinusoidal effect in the line current because of their non-linear relationship in voltage and current. Moreover, harmonics in the line current are also produced. With constantly growing imploration of such type of nonlinear equipments at a large scale, harmonic distortions in line current have become a significant crunch. This required some methods involving the reduction of harmonics in the line current as well as Power Factor Improvement/Correction. The primary goal of this proposed work is to reduce the harmonics produced in line current and to improve power quality of non-linear load by designing a converter with parallel processing scheme, named TSH Active power filter (Transformer less shunt active power filter) with PID controller. Here a separate dc source is employed to supply the shunt connected converter, a voltage source inverter, to remove the requirement of bulky transformer at supply end. This paper depicted the process of reduction of total harmonic distortion (THD), generated due to nonlinear characteristics of load and power factor improvement by shunt compensation. The proposed designs are modeled and simukated using Matlab simulation software.

Usage Electric power is very easy to do, because the infrastructure for connecting  already available and widely sold. Consumption electric power is not accompanied by the ability to recognize electric power. The average increase of electricity power in Bali in extreme weather reaches 10% in years 2014, so that Bali suffered power shortages and PLN as the manager of electric power to perform scheduling on of electric power usage. Scheduling is done because many people use electric power as the load  of fan and Air Conditioner exceeding the previous time. Load of fan, air conditioning, and computers including non-linear loads which can add heat on the conductor of electricity. Non-linear load and hot weather can lead to heat on conductor so  insulation damaged  and cause electrical short circuit. Data of electric power obtained through questionnaires, surveys, measurement and retrieve data from various parties. Fires that occurred in 2014, namely 109 events, 44 is  event caused by an electric short circuit (approximately 40%). Decrease power factors can cause losses of electricity and hot. Heat can cause and adds heat on the  conductor electric. The analysis showed  understanding electric power of the average  is 27,700 with value between 20 to 40. So an understanding of the electrical power away from the understand so that many errors because of the act own. Installation tool ELCB very necessary but very necessary provide counseling   of electricity to the community.
