The paper is concerned with the performance properties of electro-spark deposited coatings, which were determined basing on microstructural and roughness analysis and application tests. The studies were conducted using of the tungsten carbide-ceramic electrodes produced by the powder metallurgy hot pressing route. The anti-wear coatings were electro-spark deposited over C45 carbon steel by means of an EIL-8A. These coatings are likely to be applied to increase the abrasive wear resistance of tools and machine parts.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan unjuk kerja nanogenerator piezoelektrik berbasis ZnO. Metode yang digunakan untuk membuat serat ukuran nano yaitu metode elektrospinning, dimana menggunakan tegangan sebesar 15 kV dan laju aliran 2 µl/m. Penelitian ini menggunakan variasi doping 1, 2 dan 3 % kobalt oksida (Co3O4) dari berat total CoAc-ZnAc. Ukuran serat, daya dan tegangan yang dihasilkan nanogenerator piezoelektrik dipengaruhi oleh variasi doping Co3O4  terhadap ZnO. Semakin besar doping kobalt oksida semakin besar tegangan dan daya yang dihasilkan. Pada doping 3 % Co3O4 dihasilkan ukuran serat nano mencapai 71 nm, tegangan 181,33 mV dan daya 63,71 nW.

Electrical conductivity plays an important role in the performance of thermoelectric semiconductor material. This study discusses the electrical conductivity measurements of Zinc Oxide (ZnO) doping Aluminium (Al) pellet as a material of thermoelectric using four-point probe method at high temperatures. Al-doped ZnO (2 wt%) pellet was sintered at the temperature of 1100°C, 1200°C, 1300°C, 1400°C, and 1500°C with the heating rate of 8°C/minute. SEM and XRD tests show that the higher sintering temperature effects to larger grain sizes, better crystallinity, and lower porosity. There is no electrical conductivity in the sintering sample at 1100°C due to the small grain sizes and high porosity. In the sintering sample at 1500°C, the phase of ZnAl2O4erupted. The highest electrical conductivity of 5923.48S/m of Al-doped ZnO pellet was obtained at the sintering temperature of 1400°C with measurement temperature of 500°C.
