The method of pH-potentiometric titration and mathematical simulation were used to study the equilibrium processes in aqueous solutions of the WO42––CH3COOH–H2O system in the acidity range Z=(CH3COOH)/(Na2WO4)=0.8–1.7 at СW=0.01 mol L–1 and T=2980.1 K, a constant ionic strength being maintained by sodium nitrate as a background electrolyte ((NaNO3)=0.10 mol L–1). We developed the models of polyoxotungstate anions formation and the equilibrium transformation processes, which adequately describe experimental pH vs. Z dependences. It was found that acetic acid using to create the solution acidity that is necessary for the formation of isopoly tungstate anion contributes only to the formation of protonated paratungstate B anions Нх[W12O40(ОН)2](10–х)– (where x=0–4). We calculated the logarithms of the concentration equilibrium constants of the polyanion formation and plotted the distribution diagrams. Double sodium-manganese(II) paratungstate B Na8(H2O)28Mn(H2O)2[H2W12O42]4H2O was synthesized at Z=1.00 to confirm the results of the mathematical modeling. The chemical composition of the prepared salt was established by chemical elemental analysis, thermal analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray analysis. The stepwise process of salt dehydration was studied by means of differential thermal analysis.

Metachromasy of toluidine blue-stained materials was examined at 5-95°C visually and 30-70°C microspectrophotometrically. Cells and tissues provided sites of acid mucopolysaccharides and nucleic acids, which were also prepared as films and droplets. As in similar studies of aqueous solutions, metachromatic ratios were inverse, linear, reversible functions of temperature, with the possible exception of deoxyribonucleic acid. An aqueous mounting medium (gelatin) supported maximum excursions of metachromasy during heating and cooling, although reversible loss of metachromasy occurs to lesser degrees in conventional media. Removal or denaturation of cartilage matrix protein merely increased over-all metachromasy; slopes of thermal plots were unchanged. All evidence suggests that metachromasy is not a fundamentally different phenomenon in solutions and solid systems. Temperature studies emphasize the role of structured water in metachromasy, interaction of water and other solvents and particularly solvent dielectric constant in relation to dye-dye interaction. The limited literature on temperature and biologic staining is reviewed.

Взаимодействием водных растворов хлоридов соответствующих редкоземельных элементов и натриевой соли цефазолина (NaCzl) были получены и выделены в твердом виде комплексные соединения цефазолина. Полученные комплексы имеют состав Me(Czl)•3HO, где Me = Ce+, Pr+, Nd+. Полученные соединения исследованы методом синхронного термического анализа. By the interaction of aqueous solutions of the chlorides of the corresponding rare-earth elements and the cefazolin sodium salt (NaCzl), complex compounds of cefazolin were obtained. The resulting compounds were investigated by synchronous thermal analysis.

The reactions of substituted N-benzyliminodiacetamides (o-CH3Bnimda, m-CH3Bnimda, p-CH3Bnimda, o-ClBnimda, m-ClBnimda, p-ClBnimda, p-FBnimda, and p-BrBnimda; o-CH3Bn = ortho-methylbenzyl, m-CH3Bn = meta-methylbenzyl, p-CH3Bn = para-methylbenzyl, o-ClBn = ortho-chlorobenzyl, m-ClBn = meta-chlorobenzyl, p-ClBn = para-chlorobenzyl, p-FBn = para-fluorobenzyl, and p-BrBn = para-bromobenzyl) with copper(ii) and nickel(ii) nitrate in aqueous solutions were investigated. Sixteen new complexes [Cu(o-CH3Bnimda)2](NO3)2⋅0.5H2O (1), [Cu(m-CH3Bnimda)2](NO3)2 (2), [Cu(p-CH3Bnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2H2O (3), [Cu(o-ClBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅H2O (4), [Cu(m-ClBnimda)2](NO3)2 (5), [Cu(p-ClBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2H2O (6), [Cu(p-FBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2H2O (7), [Cu(p-BrBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2H2O (8), [Ni(o-CH3Bnimda)2](NO3)2⋅H2O (9), [Ni(m-CH3Bnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2H2O (10), [Ni(p-CH3Bnimda)2](NO3)2⋅H2O (11), [Ni(o-ClBnimda)2](NO3)2 (12), [Ni(m-ClBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2DMF (13) (DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide), [Ni(p-ClBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2H2O (14), [Ni(p-FBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅H2O (15), and [Ni(p-BrBnimda)2](NO3)2⋅2H2O (16) were prepared and characterized by infrared spectroscopy and thermal analysis (thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses). The molecular and crystal structures of three complexes (2, 5, and 13) were determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis. The octahedral coordination environments around the copper(ii) and nickel(ii) ions in complexes 2, 5, and 13 consist of two O,N,O'-tridentate iminodiacetamide ligands. The complexes are trans-isomers with fac-configuration of the chelators.

An inorganic/organic magnetic nanocomposite was synthesized and analytically characterized using X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and thermal analysis. The evaluation of the magnetic properties revealed that both the magnetite and the magnetite/chitosan nanocomposite are superparamagnetic with a paramagnetic component, having the saturation magnetization values of 48.04 emu/g, and 41.3 emu/g, respectively. The synthesized material is indented for the adsorption of two known commercial-available pesticides (active ingredients deltamethrin and thiamethoxam, respectively) from aqueous solutions.
