One of the environmental problems caused by the increasing growth of the industry.Industrial waste generated that goes into the soil can alter soil properties. This studyreviewing the nature of the soil as a result of the distribution of residual waste CPO (CrudePalm Oil) industry mills. This study uses the characteristics of resistivity and soil nutrientproperties. Soil resistivity properties were tested by making a model before and after thedistribution of waste residue does CPO. Then validated against field measurements, fieldmeasurements comparing the data with the model. To see the changes in nutrient content ofsoil Laboratory Testing properties of soil nutrient changes. The results showed that theresistivity properties change and nutrient content of the soil before and after the distributionof waste residue subjected CPO. Soil resistivity values that have mixed by CPO residualwaste is higher than the value of soil resistivity is not mixed waste palm oil residues, while thecontent of soil nutrients among other properties, increasing soil pH, Include content C-Organic (%) / Inceneration, P-Available (ppm) / Bray-1, N-Total (%) / Kjedahl decreaseddramatically.

The poultry industry in Indonesia has big challenges due to the high price of feed. It is important to use local feed resources as an alternative to reduce production costs. The local feed that has big potential is solid palm oil. The objective of this study was to determine the potential of solid palm oil as a source of protein for poultry feed, and as the growth media of Black Soldier Fly larvae (BSF). The research was conducted to grow BSF solid palm oil as a growth media for 20 days. Solid palm oil was analyzed its nutrient content before and after it was used as the growth media of BSF. The BSF was also analyzed its nutrient content. The results showed hat the content of fresh solid, BSF, and solid used for BSF growth media ware energy 3336.6 kcal/kg, 4773.2 kcal/kg, 1201,8 kcal/kg, crude protein 13.55%, 29.05%, 8.03%, crude fat 12.46%, 33.72%, 2.62%, and crude fiber 15.47%, 11.49%, 6.68%. The research results showed that solid palm oil contains nutrients that are good for poultry feed and for the growth of BSF larvae.

Some Physical Properties of Soil As a Result of Giving Liquid Palm Oil Industry Waste)Abstract. This study aims to determine changes in some physical and chemical properties of soil due to the provision of liquid waste from the palm oil industry. This research was conducted in the garden of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Agri Binanga, Padang Lawas Utara, North Sumatra. The method used in this research is a descriptive method by conducting surveys and soil sampling with zigzag technique, soil samples taken are intact and non-intact soil samples using ring samples and ground drill. Furthermore, it is analyzed in the Soil Physics laboratory, then the results of laboratory analysis data are carried out using ANOVA test using a non factorial RCBD design. Anova test analysis results showed that the treatments tested were not significantly different from the physical properties of the soil observed. However, the results of observations of each class of the parameters of soil physical properties, especially for permeability, changes in class from slow to moderate. While for other parameters there is no change in class. The provision of palm oil liquid waste in general can change the soil chemical properties such as pH, C-organic, N-total, and K-dd. Especially for the P-available increased from very low class to very high with a value of 59.85 ppm.

Palm oil industry in Indonesia has been growing rapidly. But, unfortunately the growth is only effective on upstream industry with low value products, such that potential downstream value added are not explored proportionally. The government is therefore in the process of developing an appropriate policy to strengthen the national palm oil downstream industry. This paper proposes that an approriate policy for developing palm oil downstream industry could be derived from the maps of value chain and existing technology capability of the industry. The result recommends that government policy should emphasize on the supply of raw materials, infrastructure and utilities, as well as developing the missing value chain industry, especially ethoxylation and sulfonation.

Surfaces of airport pavements are subject to contamination that can be very dangerous for the movement of aircraft particularly on the runway. A recurrent problem is represented by the deposits of vulcanized rubber of aircraft tires in the touchdown area during landings and lesser during take-offs. This causes a loss of grip that compromises the safety of aircraft movements in take-off and landing operations. This study deals with the surface characteristics decay phenomenon related to contamination from rubber deposits. The experiment was conducted by correlating the pavement surface characteristics, as detected by Grip Tester, to air traffic before and after de-rubberizing operation and two models were constructed for the assessment of functional capacity of the runway before and after the operations de-rubberizing.
