Subject of research – deposits of iron ore on the principle of threeunity asobjects of natural, needs, economic. The purpose of writing the article is thedevelopment of a resource-based approach to the study of problems, systems ofconcepts and indicators that allow to characterize the resource-cost aspects andevaluation of the results of the study of iron ore deposits in accordance with theirneeds in the process of exploration of mineral resources, conducting search andexploration research and work. Because we are substantiated by the need-resourceconcept of the EG, the system of indicators of iron ore stocks. The methodologyof the work – application of abstract-logical, system-structural and comparativeanalysis (to determine the system of concepts and indicators that allow characterizingresource-cost aspects and evaluating the results of the study of deposits of ironores); analysis (study of the right base for studying the geology of the interior);monographic analysis (with the application of a resource approach); generalization(formation of a system of monetary obligations to the state); interpretation(substantiated systems of concepts using the principle of threeunity and resourceand cost estimates for the study of mineral resources, minerals, conductingexploratory research and work on the needs and resources concept of economicgeology). Results of work-justified: resource approach to evaluation of exploreddeposits of iron ore; Consideration on the principle of fourunity quaternity ofgeological objects as: natural resources (quantity, quality, structure of ores);production and economic resources (costs, production facilities); informationalresources ie information display of geology of subsoil (for example, deposits inthe form of geological maps, geological reports); property resources (fiscal payments from the sale of deposits, iron ore, information about them). Conclusions -using the resource approach and the fourunity principle, iron ore deposits canbe estimated not by geological and economic indicators, but by a system ofquantitative and qualitative indicators, which reflect them as objects of natural,industrial-economic, informational, and fiscal.

Iron and Steels is one of the top three major imports of Nepal. Based on the fact that Nepal has large amount of mineral resources, it is important to explore and exploit them rationally. This research paper is carried out to estimate the iron ore reserve of the iron ore deposits of Pokhari in Nawalparasi which was recently discovered by Department of Mines and Geology (DMG), Nepal. In this research work, the technical and financial assessment of hematite (iron ore) extraction of iron deposits of Pokhari, taking an area of one square kilo meter, has been carried out. The tonnage of iron ore and the overburden (which is quartzite and slate in this case) were estimated considering the mining process to be open cast mining using vertical cross-section method. The depth of hematite zone is taken as 100 m. The iron ore to over-burden (waste) ratio was 1:3.36. The financial analysis was done on the basis of extraction of 3600 metric tons of iron ore per day and 8,64,000 metric tons annually. The return on investment (ROI) is 34%. Thus, the research work indicates that the extraction of large amount of iron ore of Pokhari area is economical and it is a beneficial project.

The problems of underground exhaustion processes on the example of iron ore deposits of Kryvbas are studied. As objects Kryvbas deposits of different geological and mining types were selected. The methodology for forecasting of the costs for post-liquidation development of licensed areas, which is based on the experience of European countries has been proposed. These ones are with the most evident signs of intensive development and exhaustion of mineral resources. Valiavkinske Banded Iron Formation deposit is characterized by extraction intensification and dangerous changes of geological environment. The Pivdennyi Quarry with reserves of previously lost rich ores has most of exhaustion phase signs with prolongation of extraction in complicated mining conditions. The ecological-geological and geological-economic indicators of intensive exploitation of mineral deposits are compared and formulas for environmental costs calculations on objects are given.

Specific characteristics of iron ore deposits in Ljubija ore region are given by pelitoid iron ores (,,brand“) which occupy a substantial part of iron mineral resources, on which industrial production of natural iron oxide – pigments depends. This particular technology type of iron ore deposits, until recently was waste from mining production, and now when it is possible to implement new technological processes, that waste became an important commercial product. This paper presents the results of detailed geological research which lasted for a few years, as well as laboratory and tehnological tests. It presents the new data on the metallogenetic characteristics of the environment where iron oxides originate as a raw material for mineral pigments. In this paper, we answered and resolved dilemma about brand identity in adequate genetic iron types in Ljubija mining regions, about their specificity as well as the ore formations and geohistorical development. Through the technological characterization of the ore and its domain of application, we provide the basis for economic evaluation of the deposits of this very important mineral resource.
