Abstract HITENSO 165 offers an excellent and difficult-to-acquire combination of high tensile strength and good electrical conductivity. The nominal composition of 98.58% copper with cadmium, tin and silver gives it high-strength and wear characteristics while retaining good conductivity. It is used as trolley wire because of its exceptional durability for curves and switches on electrified railroads carrying heavy traffic and for trackless trolleys where wear is high. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-423. Producer or source: Anaconda Industries.
