Abstract HAYNES alloy No. 711 is a new, multicomponent hard-facing alloy that maximizes wear resistance with a minimum utilization of cobalt. Alloy No. 711 offers cost savings over the traditionally used cobalt-base alloys. It should be evaluated for general maintenance applicants such as a abrasion extruder screws, rock bits and slurry pumps.
