Abstract UNS NO. G50461 is a low-chromium alloy steel with boron added to increase its hardenability. This steel has medium hardenability and strength with good ductility. Another grade (UNS No. H50461) has similar properties but slightly wider ranges in percentages of carbon, manganese and chromium; this is known as the H-grade (Hardenability grade).
