Abstract ALUMINUM 852.0 contains higher concentrations of copper and nickel than either Aluminum 850.0 or Aluminum 851.0 alloy. The higher copper and nickel percentages and an addition of magnesium give Aluminum 852.0 higher strength and make it suitable for bearing applications requiring improved resistance to higher operating stresses (loads). Aluminum 852.0 is used for the production of castings by the sand and permanent-mold processes. It is normally supplied and used in the T5 temper. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as casting, forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Al-248. Producer or source: Various aluminum companies.
