Abstract PROMAL is a specially processed pearlitic malleable iron recommended for highly stressed applications. It has high strength and good toughness suitable for gears, power shovels, conveyor chains and diesel engine drive pulleys. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive and shear strength as well as fatigue.
