Simulation of a Vehicle Impacting a Modified Thrie-Beam Guardrail

A three-dimensional finite-element simulation study, developed for the purpose of modeling the event of a compact automobile impacting a modified thrie-beam guardrail, is presented. The developed computational model has been used to simulate an actual field test that was previously conducted as part of a full-scale crash test program carried out under the auspices of FHWA. Results of the actual crash test are also used to "tune" the simulation model.

Inverted siphon structure is a common water conveyance buildings, computer as a efficient computational tool is used, this paper adopt finite element method to carry out three-dimensional finite element simulation analysis for Dahedong inverted siphon structure. Deducing variation law of the inverted siphons stress and displacement in construction process and operating process. Analysis results further verified that design scheme is reasonable and safe, it has certain application value.

Arch dam is a water retaining structure which has beautiful bodily form and reasonable structure form. In recent years, arch dam has been widely used. This paper adopts finite element method to carry out three-dimensional finite element simulation analysis for Xiuwen hydropower station, research variation law of the dam’s stress and displace in operational process. Research results show that, single curvature arch dam of Xiuwen hydropower station have reasonable structure, good mechanical properties, every index meets the requirements for design.

This paper adopts general finite element software to carry out three-dimensional finite element simulation analysis for Huizeli reinforced concrete rectangular-sectioned aqueduct. Considering four combination cases in aqueduct’s construction and operating process, researching variation laws of the aqueduct’s stress and displacement. Analysis results show that design scheme of Huizeli reinforced concrete rectangular-sectioned aqueduct is reasonable, it can meet design requirements. Analysis results provide some theory references for design of reinforced concrete rectangular-sectioned aqueduct.
