New taxa of gall midges from the Russian Far East (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae)

Twelve new species and seven new genera of gall midges from Primorsk Territory are described: Dentifibula hastata sp. n., Aculeatodiplosis fasciata gen. et sp. n., Tuguridiplosis phaseoliformis gen. et sp. n., T. abdita sp. n., T. cordata sp. n., Stenohypodiplosis sejuncta gen. et sp. n., Samaradiplosis devexa gen. et sp. n., Montosidiplosis crenata gen. et sp. n., Dissimilidiplosis strumosa gen. et sp. n., Tonsidiplosis incurva gen. et sp. n., T. rostriformis sp. n., and T. tuberculata sp. n. Trisopsis tjanshanica (Marikovskij, 1960) is transferred to the genus Tonsidiplosis, comb. n.

The family Diplomaragnidae Attems, 1907 of the Asian part of Russia is reviewed and shown to comprise 11 genera and 60 species + 1 dubious species. Two genera and seven species are described here as new to science: Alineuma gen. nov., with type species A. rodionovi sp. nov. and Litovkia gen. nov., with the type species L. anisimovka sp. nov., Diplomaragna budilovi sp. nov., Diplomaragna dentifer sp. nov., Pacifiosoma shabalini sp. nov., Pacifiosoma acutum sp. nov., Pacifiosoma triangulatum sp. nov. Pacifiosoma asperum Mikhaljova, 2016 is recorded from the Primorsky Krai for the first time. Five genera are endemic to the Asian part of Russia. At the species level, the rate of endemism amounts to 91.7%. A key is given to all species of Diplomaragnidae presently known from Siberia and the Russian Far East. The distributions of the region’s diplomaragnids are discussed. Taxonomic remarks are provided for many species.

A systematic review of the genus Abiskomyia Edwards, 1937 is presented based on materials from the Russian Far East and bordering territories. Three new species: A. korbokhon sp. nov., A. levanidovi sp. nov., A. rivalis sp. nov. and one subspecies A. virgo orientalis subsp. nov. are described and figured. Emended generic diagnoses and keys to determination of adult males, pupae and fourth instar larvae of all known species and subspecies of the Abiskomyia of the Palaearctic region are provided.

Three new taxa of red fescues (Festuca aggr. rubra L.) with entirely or partly pseudoviviparous spikelets are described from the Russian Far East (Yevreyskaya Avtonomnaya Oblast’, south of the Amur River) and from the Baikal Siberia (Irkutskaya Oblast’, Baikalo-Lenskii Nature Reserve): F. raddei Enustschenko et Prob., F. breviramea Enustschenko, F. rubrа L. var. caulispicula Enustschenko. In addition, a non-pseudoviviparous new species F. karaginensis Enustschenko et Prob. (also from Festuca aggr. rubra) is described from Karaginskii Island (near the eastern coast of Kamchatka Peninsula).

Poa) from Kamchatka; P. schmidtiana Prob. et Barkalov (sect. Malacanthae) from Sakhalin; P. tuvinensis Prob. (sect. Poa) from Republic of Tyva; P. salinostepposa Prob. (sect. Poa) from Transbaikalia; P. janaensis Prob. and P. superlanata Prob. (sect. Poastena) from Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Calamagrostis are described from the Russian Far East. Chromosome numbers are reported for two new taxa. Calamagrostis burejensis Prob. et Barkalov, 2n = 28 (sect. Calamagrostis), C. zejensis Prob., 2n = 28 (sect. Deyeuxia), and C. × amgunensis Prob. (C. amurensis Prob. × C. neglecta (Ehrh.) G. Gaertn., B. Mey. et Scherb. s. l.) are described from the Amur River basin (Amur Region or Khabarovsk Territory); Arundinella rossica Prob. (sect. Hirtae) and Calamagrostis kozhevnikovii Prob. et Prokopenko (sect. Calamagrostis) from Primorye Territory.
