The first step of formulating flood risk management strategies is to identify the flood at-hazard areas. This study aims to map flood-prone areas with different hazard levels in the Dadu River basin, using simple additive weighting (SAW) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methods and the geographic information systems (GIS) tool. The grid map of selected criteria, rainfall, topography, drainage, and the usage of land were processed and applied to estimate the flood hazard index (FHI) values in the basin in the GIS environment. The resultant map illustrates the spatial distribution of basin-scale flood at-hazard areas, can be used as powerful guidance of implementing preventing and alleviating flood risk for decision-makers and managers, and extended application in other basins or disaster fields.

This study deals with the flood-hazard assessment and mapping in the catchment of Megalo Rema (East Attica, Greece). Flood-hazard zones were identified utilizing Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS). Five factors were considered as the most influential parameters for the water course when high storm-water runoff exceeds drainage system capacity and were taken into account. These factors include slope, elevation, distance from stream channels, geological formations in terms of their hydro-lithological behavior and land cover. To obtain the final weights for each factor, rules of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) were applied. The final flood-hazard assessment and mapping of the study area were produced through Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) procedures. The final map showed that approximately 26.3 km2, which corresponds to 22.7% of the total area of the catchment, belongs to the high flood risk zone, while approximately 25 km2, corresponding to ~15% of the catchment, is of very high flood risk. The highly and very highly prone to flooding areas are located mostly at the southern and western parts of the catchment. Furthermore, the areas on both sides of the channel along the lower reaches of the main stream are of high and very high risk. The highly and very highly prone to flooding areas are relatively low-lying, gently sloping and extensively urbanized, and host the densely populated settlements of Rafina-Pikermi, Penteli, Pallini, Peania, Spata, Glika Nera, Gerakas and Anthousa. The accuracy of the flood-hazard map was verified by correlating flood events of the last 30 years, the Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System (HEC–RAS) simulation and quantitative geomorphological analysis with the flood-hazard level. The results of our approach provide decision makers with important information for land-use planning at a regional scale, determining safe and unsafe areas for urban development.

This study was conducted to assist in the selection of martial assistant coach, to determine who is right. Its results will didadaptkan by comparing the two methods in the decision support system, by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Simple Additive Weight (SAW) in limiting the problems in producing the desired solution, using multiple criteria (multi-criteria). AHP and SAW has a different way of doing the calculation. This is done to determine which method is looking for help in making decisions. And in this study are the criteria Discipline, Knowledge, Leadership, Attitude, and Level. And there are sub criteria on Level, which Black (AND I) and Red Black II.

There are many factors that influence the formation and development of floods, such as rainfall, soil, slope, land cover, drainage, and density. Therefore, a quantitative assessment of their importance is necessary, especially in the determination of flood risk zones, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process algorithm and Geographic Information System. In comparison with other methodologies, an obvious advantage of Analytic Hierarchy Process is the ability to solve multi-variable qualitative and quantitative problems with precise and trustworthy results. This paper presents the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process algorithm in analyzing and evaluating the level at which various criteria affect flood risk in the Lam River basin. Some of the flood-causative factors considered in this paper are annual rainfall, soil, slope, land cover, drainage density, and relative slope length. These factors were chosen based on the physical conditions of the study area. The research results are the weight of different criteria. The higher the weight, the higher the effect of that criterion on flood risk. The computed weights show that annual rainfall and slope are the factors that contribute the most to flooding, based on decision-makers’ judgement. The results of this article can be used to construct a flood risk zoning map and flood susceptibility map for flood warnings in the Lam River basin, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process method and Geographic Information System technology. New research shows that Analytic Hierarchy Process can be trustworthy when assessing the level of influence of the different factors on determining flood-prone areas in the Lam River basin, as well as other basins.

ABSTRAK Proses penilaian karyawan berprestasi merupakan permasalahan yang melibatkan banyak komponen atau kriteria yang dinilai (multi kriteria), sehingga dalam penilaian karyawan berprestasi metode yang digunakan adalah Simple Additive  Weighting (SAW) Dengan Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), namun keduanya mempunyai metode pengukuran yang berbeda. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah metode A HP merupakan metode yang lebih tepat dalam studi kasus penilaian karyawan berprestasi. Penilaian karyawan berprestasi ini melibatkan banyak sub-kriteria, dimana AHP dianggap tepat untuk mewakili pemikiran alamiah yang cenderung mengelompokkan elemen sistem ke level-level yang berbeda dari masing-masing level berisi elemen yang serupa sehingga lebih baik digunakan untuk penilaian karyawan berprestasi yang melibatkan banyak kriteria dengan level hirarki yang berbeda. Selain itu metode AHP juga menyediakan skala pengukuran dan metode untuk mendapatkan prioritas untuk semua hirarki kriteria, karena masing-masing kriteria memiliki prioritas yang tidak sama.
