One of the Precious and important resource in the earth maybe water. Now a days people need everything happen smarter other than olden days techniques used. In this paper Internet of Things (IOT) Based on the concept that to define energy conservation in tank level water monitoring system(sense and monitor). The Main objective is to have a sensor which detects the level of water and it should notify the user about the water level which is currently available in the tank. The Ultrasonic Sensor is placed at the top of the tank in which we will measure the level of water and the if the distance of the water from the sensor gets increased, it means that the water in the tank gets low and finally after reaching to an extent the system should notify a warning message to the user. The Major requirement would be Ultrasonic sensor which senses level of water (in distance)from the top of the tank to the bottom of the tank. The sensor is connected to the system using the Wi-Fi of NODE MCU (ESP8266) .The Blynk library is installed and connected in the arduino. The Blynk application is used to get the values and the notification send to the mobile for the user purpose. The user can get notified that the tank is empty and can take further steps to fill the water in the tank.

Storage of water is common to all human for domestic and industrial utilization. Today, water tanks are the conventional and a major component in water storage systems as they have the capacity to hold large volume of water over a long period of time. They come in different shapes and sizes. However inadequate monitoring of water level in this storage facility may lead to either shortage of water supply when needed or its wastage during lifting process. Hence, there is need for proper monitoring of water level in a storage facility. This need motivates this work, which is the development of water level monitoring system that based on sonar technology. Materials employed in the development include ultrasonic sensor module, ATmega-328P microcontroller, 16MHz crystal oscillator, 12V dc water pump among others. The developed system monitors the water level and activates the pump as appropriate based on the input the ultrasonic sensor gives to the microcontroller which occupies the centre of the system. The developed system has potential of mitigating the attendant problems that usually arise from wastage or shortage of water supply with respect to water storage facility. Keywords—SONAR, water storage, monitoring system

As a Smart innovation with greatness suggestions gives the better outcome when contrast and Existing System. This work about the water level detecting inside the tank and interface it to Node MCU (which holds wi-fi module to send message) to send status of the tank to Blynk application through Arduino ide code. This gives a thought that the things get associated over organization roll out more brilliant improvement for later. In nowadays everything dependent on the advanced cell and its applications. Along these lines, this venture would be helpful in impending ages. The fundamental point of this framework is to screen the water level at rustic zones with the goal that they can identify the wastage of water and measures can be taken to dodge superfluous flooding of water in the zones where observing is tricky.

Floodgate monitoring is related to water level monitoring. Problems that occur Weir information about the water level, water runoff, level, status of floodgates and recap results that can be seen on the web in real-time are not yet available, so monitoring the floodgates is difficult, less effective and maximum. Weir officials must go back and forth from the weir to the guard post and then to the control to move the floodgates. The purpose of the design of a sluice monitoring system is based on the website. Assist officers in monitoring floodgates to make it more effective and maximal. Using Wemos D1 R1 Microcontroller, Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04 to read water level, DC Motor moves the floodgates. LCD displays runoff and level. Siren as a danger warning. The trial results show that the system that has been made runs well. The system is able to open the floodgates through control of the web and runs automatically. Water runoff and level can be displayed on the LCD. Weir information about water levels, water runoff, levels, sluice status, and recap results can be viewed on the web in real time.

This paper designs an intelligent groundwater level monitoring system based on image recognition and Internet of things (IoT). Image recognition technology was employed to process the water level image, and determine the water level line. The IoT was adopted to transmit the collected multimedia data accurately to the monitoring end, thereby realizing the automatic remote monitoring of real-time water level. After analyzing the image recognition technology and the key algorithm of water level recognition, the authors designed the whole process of groundwater level monitoring with two modules: water level monitoring base station, and remote monitoring management center. The water level monitoring base station is embedded with a data acquisition module to periodically collect data, including water level, videos, and images. The collected data were sent to the remote monitoring management center through the cellular network. Then, flood or low water warning could be determined according to the historical data. Finally, the proposed groundwater level monitoring system was tested. The results show that the system not only solves the problem of measurement accuracy, but also improves the work efficiency.

The drinking water is one of the main problems affecting many countries now, in the same way we are not actually using the rain water properly. The misuse of water leads no many problems like uncontrolled water flow etc. Last year 2018 Kerala undergrown a deep flood because of huge rain due to that all the dams in Kerala opened simultaneously. It creates a huge flood in Kerala. Around 370 peoples died in Kerala due to this flood. The main reason is people are not aware of dam opening so the peoples near to the river all are washed off. Most of the dams are not having a digital sensing for water level. All the dams are having only scale measurement so failed to give information about damn opening. Water level monitoring system solves this problem It will give right information about water level in reservoir and it will avoid wastage water in tank.

With advancement in technology and ever-changing weather conditions, accurate and affordable water level measurement systems has become necessary for farmers. This therefore brings about the need for a system incorporating the use of IoT technology that will monitor water levels at a cost-effective price with accurate and dependable results. The prototype will monitor water levels on a regular basis and the data captured will be stored in a database to help farmers improve the way they manage their water resource. Farmers will be able to monitor the water levels from any location at any given time. This chapter focuses on a Smart Water Level Monitoring System for Farmers and provides a smart way to manage water resources on farms in the most cost-effective and convenient manner for farmers.
