Mobile adhoc network (MANET) is a collection of mobile devices which form a communication network with no pre-existing wiring or infrastructure. Multiple routing protocols have been developed for MANETs. As MANETs gain popularity, their need to support real time applications is growing as well. Quality of service(QoS) provisioning is becoming a critical issue in designing mobile adhoc networks due to the necessity of providing multimedia applications. These applications have stringent QoS requirements such as throughput, end-to-end delay, and energy. Due to dynamic topology and bandwidth constraint supporting QoS is a challenging task. QoS aware routing is an important building block for QoS support. The primary goal of the QoS aware protocol is to determine the path from source to destination that satisfies the QoS requirements. This article proposes a new energy and delay aware protocols called, energy and delay aware Adhoc On demand Distance Vector Routing (EDAODV) and energy and delay aware Dynamic Source Routing(EDDSR) based on extension of AODV and DSR. Simulation results show that the proposed protocols have a better performance than AODV and DSR in terms of energy, packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay.

Based on dynamic network topology, mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET) plays a vital role. Mobility is one of the major issues in MANET which affects the quality of routing and disconnects in the route frequently. It is necessary to avoid interruptions in routing and provide a continuous connectivity among nodes to improve the routing ability in this situation. It is important to predict the present location information of the nodes since route failure and interruptions are caused by node mobility. To compare and predict the pattern of mobile nodes using flies flash patterns, this paper utilizes a Nature-inspired algorithm as Fire Fly Algorithm. Among mobile nodes, this can able to allocate the available resources and increase the routing quality. The Firefly algorithm is simulated in network simulation software and the obtained results are verified. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by comparing the results with the other existing systems’ results.

The vehicular adhoc network is the decentralized type of network. The vehicle nodes can join or leave the network when they want. In the such type of network security, routing and quality of service are the three major issues of the network. In the network malicious node is present which is responsible to trigger various types of active and passive attacks. The Sybil attack is the active types of attack in which malicious node change its identification multiple times. In this, paper various techniques are reviewed which are used to isolate malicious nodes from the network.
