The possibility of using products obtained from ethylene chlorohydrin – 2- hydroxyethylisothiuronium chloride, mono- and dichalcogen derivatives of diethylene glycol, in the process of brilliant electrochemical nickel plating is considered.

The preparation is described of the bis(dichlorotriazinyl) derivatives of diethylene and triethylene glycol and of the bis(chlorobutylaminotriazinyl), bis(chlorobutylthiotriazinyl), and bis(chlorophenoxytriazinyl) derivatives of diethylene glycol. In addition, there is described the preparation of a water-soluble bis(dichlorotriazinyl) derivative of a polyethylene glycol and evidence is produced for its reactions with glycine, γ-aminobutyric acid, N- acetylcysteine, glutathione, and tyrosine.
