Real-time collaboration of multiple digital models is vital for successful construction projects using Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or Building Information Modeling (BIM). Real-time collaboration allows users to workshare within a multidisciplinary team to co-author multiple smart digital models for better efficiency. This can be done in two ways, either using a physical server (Local Area Network/LAN server) or cloud-based server (Wide Area Network/WAN server). Such cloud-based servers are A360, C4R, Collaboration for Revit, or BIM360Design collaborate, etc. However, above-mentioned cloud services come at a significant price, making it challenging for academia and small businesses to perform real-time collaboration using BIM/VDC models. To find an affordable alternative, an attempt was made as part of the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) course offered by the Construction Science and Management Department (CSM). For this case study, a popular and free (Google) cloud server was tested as a WAN server to host four multidisciplinary collaborative VDC central models for five users across five different geographic locations and time zones. The study rendered successful results to establish a real-time collaborative workshare environment; hence, can significantly benefit academia and small business.

A Tonido cloud server provides a private cloud storage solution and synchronizes customers and employees with the required cloud services over the enterprise. Generally, access to any cloud services by users is via the Internet connection, which can face some problems, and then users may encounter in accessing these services due to a weak Internet connection or heavy load sometimes especially with live video streaming applications overcloud. In this work, flexible and inexpensive proposed accessing methods are submitted and implemented concerning real-time applications that enable users to access cloud services locally and regionally. Practically, to simulate our network connection, we proposed to use the Raspberry-pi3 model B+ as a router wireless LAN (WLAN) that enables users to have the cloud services using different access approaches such as wireless and wireline connections. As a case study for a real-time application over the cloud server, it is suggested to do a live video streaming using an IP webcam and IVIDEON cloud where the streaming video can be accessed via the cloud server at any time with different users taking into account the proposed practical connections. Practical experiments showed and proved that accessing real-time applications of cloud services via wireline and wireless connections is improved by using Tonido cloud server's facilities.

This chapter describes the concepts and cost models used for determining the cost of providing cloud services to mobile applications using different pricing models. Two recently implemented mobile-cloud applications are studied in terms of both the cost of providing such services by the cloud operator, and the cost of operating them by the cloud user. Computing resource requirements of both applications are identified and worksheets are presented to demonstrate how businesses can estimate the operational cost of implementing such real-time mobile cloud applications at a large scale, as well as how much cloud operators can profit from providing resources for these applications. In addition, the nature of available service level agreements (SLA) and the importance of quality of service (QoS) specifications within these SLAs are emphasized and explained for mobile cloud application deployment.

In Software technology stackCloud services provides easy coupling implementation to enhance encapsulation data between multiple platform data exchanges. My finding towards  introducing High Availability Architecture for cloud environment which covers Load Balancing, Failover, High Availability Resources. To achieve thisfeatures it’s identified framework architecture which is called as Dynamic High Availability Architecture Framework for SOA Computing which increase cloud services standard inhigh witheasy adaptable security. Even though cloud service supports loose coupling and isolation business logics. At current cloud service provide wants to launch new web service request on fly same service will notnotified into client in real-time scenario.  To overcome this complicated situation we have introduced (GHAFC) Generic Architecture Framework in Cloud Computing. Which will support data exchanges between producer and consumer onthe fly with real time scenario.
