In this paper we indicate some applications of homotopy analysis method for solving the systems of linear and nonlinear integral equations. The method is based on the concept of creating function series. If the series converges, its sum is the solution of this system of equations. The paper presents conditions to ensure the convergence of this series and estimation of the error of approximate solution obtained when the partial sum of the series is used. Application of the method will be illustrated by examples.

Abstract The purpose of the paper is to find an approximate solution of the two-dimensional nonlinear fuzzy Volterra integral equation, as homotopy analysis method (HAM) is applied. Studied equation is converted to a nonlinear system of Volterra integral equations in a crisp case. Using HAM we find approximate solution of this system and hence obtain an approximation for the fuzzy solution of the nonlinear fuzzy Volterra integral equation. The convergence of the proposed method is proved. An error estimate between the exact and the approximate solution is found. The validity and applicability of the HAM are illustrated by a numerical example.

AbstractIn this paper an application of the homotopy analysis method for some type of nonlinear and linear integral equations of the second kind is presented. A special case of considered equation is the Volterra- Fredholm integral equation. In homotopy analysis method a series is created. It has shown that if the series is convergent, its sum is the solution of the considered equation. It has been also shown that under proper assumptions the considered equation possesses a unique solution and the series obtained in homotopy analysis method is convergent. The error of the approximate solution was estimated. This approximate solution is obtained when we limit to the partial sum of the series.Application of the method is illustrated with examples.

The aim of this paper is to use the homotopy analysis method (HAM), an approximating technique for solving linear and nonlinear higher order boundary value problems. Using HAM, approximate solutions of seventh-, eighth-, and tenth-order boundary value problems are developed. This approach provides the solution in terms of a convergent series. Approximate results are given for several examples to illustrate the implementation and accuracy of the method. The results obtained from this method are compared with the exact solutions and other methods (Akram and Rehman (2013), Farajeyan and Maleki (2012), Geng and Li (2009), Golbabai and Javidi (2007), He (2007), Inc and Evans (2004), Lamnii et al. (2008), Siddiqi and Akram (2007), Siddiqi et al. (2012), Siddiqi et al. This investigation presents a mathematical model describing the homotopy analysis method (HAM) for systems of linear and nonlinear integro-differential equations. Some examples are analyzed to illustrate the ability of the method for such systems. The results reveal that this method is very effective and highly promising

The paper presents an application of the homotopy analysis method for solving the one-phase fractional inverse Stefan design problem. The problem was to determine the temperature distribution in the domain and functions describing the temperature and the heat flux on one of the considered area boundaries. It was demonstrated that if the series constructed for the method is convergent then its sum is a solution of the considered equation. The sufficient condition of this convergence was also presented as well as the error of the approximate solution estimation. The paper also includes the example presenting the application of the described method. The obtained results show the usefulness of the proposed method. The method is stable for the input data disturbances and converges quickly. The big advantage of this method is the fact that it does not require discretization of the area and the solution is a continuous function.
