A new species and new recorded species of Orbiniidae Hartman, 1942 (Annedia: Polychaeta) from China

A new species of the orbiniid genus Phylo, P. heterochaetus sp. n., is described based on material collected from northern Yellow Sea, China. This is the thirteenth species in Phylo Kinberg, 1866. The new species can be easily identified by the combination of the following characters: anterior thorax with 13 setigers, interramal cirri absent, anterior thoracic neuropodia with 4–5 rows of uncini, intermixed with few subuluncini in the first 1–2 rows, ventral fringe of numerous of stomach papillae present on setigers 12–24. We also described and illustrated P. fimbriata, which is recorded for the first time from China seas.

A new species of Spionidae, Scolelepis (Scolelepis) daphoinos sp. nov., is described and illustrated from northern China seas. The species was frequently encountered and highly abundant on sand beaches, but rarely found in subtidal areas. It was formerly misidentified as S. (S.) squamata (Müller, 1806) in China but differed from the latter species in several details in morphology, including the presence of obvious reddish pigmentation patches and the absence of unidentate hooded hooks. Another two Scolelepis species, S. (S.) lingulata Imajima, 1992 and S. (S.) variegata Imajima, 1992, are reported for the first time from Chinese waters. Two species of Scolelepis, S. (S.) globosa Wu & Chen, 1964 and S. (S.) lefebvrei (Gravier, 1905), were reported previously; therefore, five species in this genus are known from China in total. A key to all Scolelepis species from Chinese waters is provided.

Two species of the genus Eudorella (Crustacea: Cumacea) were collected and examined from the Yellow Sea. A new species and one new record of Eudorella are described and illustrated. This new species Eudorella hwanghaensis sp. nov. closely resembles E. intermedia, but it differs from the latter species in bearing a distinct apical spine of endopod with uropod peduncle. The distribution of the new species is confined to the central portion of the Yellow Sea, and its distributional range coincides well with that of the Yellow Sea Bottom Cold Water Mass. Eudorella pacifica is recorded for the first time in Korean waters. It occurred in shallow waters and was distributed widely on both coastal sides of the Yellow Sea.

The small Microgastrinae genus Venanides is recorded from Europe (Netherlands, Germany and Czech Republic) for the first time, where one species, Venanides carcinae sp. nov., described here, proves to be a regular solitary parasitoid of Carcina quercana. The oribatid mite subgenus Scheloribates (Topobates) Grandjean, 1958, is recorded from the Neotropical region for the first time. A new species of this subgenus is described from the leaf litter collected in Cayo Agua Island, Panama. Scheloribates (Topobates) panamaensis sp. nov. differs from its related species by the very large body size and presence of a strong ventrodistal process on the leg femora II–IV.

The Palaearctic species of the genus Trichardis Hermann, 1906 are reviewed. A new species, T. lehri sp. nov., is described. A new synonymy is established: T. leucocoma (van der Wulp, 1899) = T. afanasievae Lehr, 1964, syn. nov. The male of T. mongolica V. Richter, 1972 is described for the first time. Two braconid genera from the subfamily Alysiinae, Lodbrokia Hedqvist, 1962 and Asyntactus Marshall, 1898, are recorded in the fauna of Russia and in the Asian continent for the first time. A new species Lodbrokia uralica sp. nov. is described from the Urals, and a key to species of this genus is provided. Redescriptions of the female and male of Asyntactus rhogaleus Marshall, 1898 with information about the level of variability of its morphological characters are given. Asyntactus sigalphoides Marshall, 1898 is synonymised with A. rhogaleus Marshall, 1898 (syn. nov.).

The genus Systenus Loew, 1857 is recorded from Afrotropical Region for the first time. A description of a new species, Systenus africanus Grichanov sp. nov., and notes on females of another probably new Afrotropical species are provided. The genus is considered now as cosmopolitan. Additionally, Agrisius fuliginosus is reported for the first time in Laos, Myanmar, China, Thailand and Vietnam.
