IoT concept gained tremendous momentum in this century's technological advancements because it has efficiently connected various devices wirelessly. The ESP8266 Wi-Fi serial transceiver module is one of the most used devices for IoT applications. This paper designs the IoT-based smart street lighting system using ESP8266 configured as a Mesh network. The ESP8266 was instructed (programmed) to control the light level by producing a PWM signal, then it sends a dimmer value and reads the sensor's data. We can access our system wirelessly via a web server. The overall system was successful as a smart street lighting system in a wireless Mesh environment. This research result is also compared to the existing similar project in terms of the system complexity aspect.

Internet of Things is an budding focus of technical, social, and economical importance. At the same time, Internet of Things hoist momentous challenges that may perhaps plunk in the way of apprehend its prospective reimbursement. The ‘thing’ in IoT may perhaps be a person with a heart monitor or an automobile in the midst of built-in-sensors, i.e. objects that have subsist dole out an IP address and encompass the capability to accumulate and convey data over a network without manual assistance or intervention. The business processes hosted on the wide-spread geographical distribution of sensors should retort to dissimilar sensing events congregate in the dynamic IoT environment as swift as they could. So to Produce better IoT applications, process optimization is indispensable in the IoT environment. For example, data analytics in energy embarrassed IoT Networks uses Optimization Framework to recuperate the network implementation delay and accuracy. Here we imply firefly Optimization Algorithm Framework, wherever the nodes make a decision where their data analytic tasks will be executed, in order to jointly optimize their average execution delay and accuracy, while respecting power consumption constraints compared to previous other techniques. Our new fire fly optimization techniques shows 81% better results compared to previous techniques such as Genetic and ant colony etc…

The purpose of this study is to implement the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol and the Progressive Web App (PWA) of the Internet of Things (IoT) based public street lighting system. The MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol is a protocol that runs on the TCP / IP stack and is specially designed for machine to machine that does not have a special address. Progressive web application (PWA) is a software creation method by combining regular websites with mobile & desktop applications. This research is a development from previous research on Automatic Public Street Lighting. The development carried out includes a communication system, monitoring of lighting conditions, and automation or manual control of lights. The results obtained are the ease of monitoring lamp conditions and early detection of lamp problems. These results are obtained from the data sent by each street light, in the form of lamp status data, voltage, and electric current, through Long Range (LoRa) communication to the gateway using a radio network. The gateway data is then sent to the broker via the internet using the MQTT protocol and control and monitoring street light conditions using the Real-time Website and a mobile device. This research's impact is that street lighting monitoring and maintenance can be carried out more efficiently.

Wireless Mesh Network (MWN) could be divided into proactive routing, reactive routing and hybrid routing, which must satisfy the requirements related to scalability, reliability, flexibility, throughput, load balancing, congestion control and efficiency. DMN (Directional Mesh Network) become more adaptive to the local environments and robust to spectrum changes. The existing computing units in the mesh network systems are Fog nodes, the DMN architecture is more economic and efficient since it doesn’t require architecture- level changes from existing systems. The cluster head (CH) manages a group of nodes such that the network has the hierarchical structure for the channel access, routing and bandwidth allocation. The feature extraction and situational awareness is conducted, each Fog node sends the information regarding the current situation to the cluster head in the contextual format. A Markov logic network (MLN) based reasoning engine is utilized for the final routing table updating regarding the system uncertainty and complexity.

IEEE 802.16 based wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are a promising broadband access solution to support flexibility, cost effectiveness and fast deployment of the fourth generation infrastructure based wireless networks. Reducing the time for channel establishment is critical for low latency/interactive Applications. According to IEEE 802.16 MAC protocol, there are three scheduling algorithms for assigning TDMA slots to each network node: centralized and distributed the distributed is further divided into two operational modes coordinated distributed and uncoordinated distributed. In coordinated distributed scheduling algorithm, network nodes have to transmit scheduling message in order to inform other nodes about their transfer schedule. In this paper a new approach is proposed to improve coordinated distributed scheduling efficiency in IEEE 802.16 mesh mode, with respect to three parameter Throughput, Average end to end delay and Normalized Overhead. For evaluating the proposed networks efficiency, several extensive simulations are performed in various network configurations and the most important system parameters which affect the network performance are analyzed
