The project of pricing logistics services in the Logistics-Services-Provider sector is extremely difficult due to the absence of adequate technical knowledge in the Logistics market. This knowledge is not taught in special and integrated approach. The Logistics market is in need of a sector responsible for recording all pricing methods as regards the provision of pricing services. This sector has to be fully functional, efficient, and rational. This chapter aims at the development of an integrated record for the identification and classification of the advantages – disadvantages and key criteria as regards the selection of pricing methods in the third party logistics (3PLs) market sector. The key finding of this chapter contribute to the identification and classification of pricing methods, possibly applied in future 3PL projects.

According to the selection and evaluation of railway freight transport of the third party logistics, establish a complete set of fuzzy hierarchy evaluation (F-AHP) model of railway freight third party logistics company. Taking Nanchang Train Depot as an example of empirical analysis, Calculate and screen the most appropriate third party logistics company. At the same time, we confirm the reliability and authenticity of F-AHP method that applies to the third party logistics company, which provides reference experience for the railway freight department on the selection of third party logistics companies.


In the recent years third-party logistics market is an emerging trend all over the world and most of the companies want to reduce the logistic costs, increase the market share, and focus on competency through the use of 3PLs. Due to the diversity of economic development, industrial segments and core competency between the markets, the third-party logistic market is growing very fast in the United Arab Emirates. The empirical study was carried out based on 102 responses received from 200 respondents for the third-party logistics market in Abu Dhabi, UAE. These data are analyzed by the SPSS software. Accordingly, the Friedman’s test shows that the full truck load & transportation management and freight forwarding are the major outsourced activities from the 3PL firms having the “P” value which is lower than 0.01, with the null hypothesis being rejected at 1% level of significance. The detailed study explains the Pearson correlation coefficient, the regression analysis for the various business measures and factor analysis of the influencing the success factors in the 3PL market and necessity of outsourcing of 3PL services in Abu Dhabi, UAE.


Now days the use of third-party logistics market is very important and the usage of 3PL service is increasing day by day. The companies are approaching the third-party logistic providers in order to reduce their logistic cost, and to focus on core competency of business market in the world. It helps to take the company to the next level of competency and development in the market. This comparative study has analyzed the third-party logistics status between India and the UAE. This comparison is based on different surveys done by another investigator with our investigation. More than 75% of the clients are satisfied with their 3PL operators and it is a good indication of customer satisfaction towards the 3PL firms. According to the author’s understanding, there is no comparative analysis done for the third-party logistic market of the UAE and other countries. This comparative study reveals the clear perception about the 3PL status between India and the UAE. The usage of IT application and its impact during 3PL operations are very crucial in both industries. In conclusion, it is found that the usage of 3PL service is growing fast day by day in India and the UAE.

For B2C e-commerce enterprises, it is of great importance to select the third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The paper, focused on the concept of “logistics capability”, took full account of the characteristics of B2C e-commerce and its logistics service and referred to the research findings of scholars. As a result, on six dimensions, the evaluation indexes of 3PL providers' logistics capability in the mode of B2C e-commerce were identified. Besides, Case studies were conducted with multi-index decision and evaluation methods based on Relative Approximation, showing that the final results are reliable.
