Human Resource Management in Indian Microfinance Institutions

Over the years, microfinance has assumed a great importance all over the world. The reason behind the increasing importance of microfinance in poverty alleviation is considered a prime objective in all developing and underdeveloped countries. Traditionally, MFIs did not have a defined HR policy or structure, since the size of the organization was always very small. The last few years have seen an upswing in the size of the organizations and also in the margins generated by MFIs. The purpose of this chapter is to analyze the human resource management issues and challenges faced in microfinance industry in India.

This research aims to determine how effective productive zakat is in alleviating poverty levels and targeting accuracy. Then to determine the effect of the empowerment of productive zakat on the recipient of productive zakat from the Bengkalis District National Amil Zakat Board. This research is quantitative and descriptive research. The results of this research found that the development of a business that has been carried out by 100 mustahik recipients of productive zakat has no effect on the social status of the recipient of zakat, this is due to the lack of intensive assistance and the limited knowledge and human resource management, as well as not being targeted in terms of distribution productive zakat. So that the effectiveness of productive zakat on the Bengkalis District National Amil Zakat Board does not significantly influence poverty alleviation.

There is a growing tendency for organizations to view their employees as a revenue-generating resource. In this regard, changes are taking place in the world, especially in our country, and new terms are being used in the lexicon. Transitioning to a new stage of activity, open, transparent mechanisms of recruitment and hiring are being implemented.
