Cloud Computing makes immense use of internet to store a huge amount of data. Cloud computing provides high quality service with low cost and scalability with less requirement of hardware and software management. Security plays a vital role in cloud as data is handled by third party hence security is the biggest concern to matter. This proposed mechanism focuses on the security issues on the cloud. As the file is stored at a particular location which might get affected due to attack and will lost the data. So, in this proposed work instead of storing a complete file at a particular location, the file is divided into fragments and each fragment is stored at various locations. Fragments are more secured by providing the hash key to each fragment. This mechanism will not reveal all the information regarding a particular file even after successful attack. Here, the replication of fragments is also generated with strong authentication process using key generation. The auto update of a fragment or any file is also done here. The concept of auto update of filles is done where a file or a fragment can be updated online. Instead of downloading the whole file, a fragment can be downloaded to update. More time is saved using this methodology.

Cloud is considered as future of Information Technology. User can utilized the cloud on pay-as-you use basis. But many organizations are stringent about the adoption of cloud computing due to their concern regarding the security of the stored data. Therefore, issues related to security of data in the cloud have become very vital. Data security involves encrypting the data and ensuring that suitable policies are imposed for sharing those data. There are several data security issues which need to be addressed. These issues are: data integrity, data intrusion, service availability, confidentiality and non-repudiation. Many schemes have been proposed for ensuring data security in cloud environment. But the existing schemes lag in fulfilling all these data security issues. In this chapter, a new Third Party Auditor based scheme has been proposed for secured storage and retrieval of client's data to and from the cloud service provider. The scheme has been analysed and compared with some of the existing schemes with respect to the security issues. From the analysis and comparison it can be observed that the proposed scheme performs better than the existing schemes.

Cloud computing is ensuring the security of stored data in cloud computing servers is one of the mainly demanding issues. In Cloud numerous security issues arises such as authentication, integrity and confidentiality. Different encryption techniques attempt to overcome these data security issues to an enormous extent. Hashing algorithm plays an important role in data integrity, message authentication, and digital signature in modern information security. For security purpose using encryption algorithm like ECC (Elliptic Curve Cryptography) and Authentication of data integrity using hashing algorithms like MD5, and SHA-512. This combination method provides data security, authentication and verification for secure cloud computing.

Cloud Computing is a robust, less cost, and an effective platform for providing services. Nowadays, it is applied in various services such as consumer business or Information Technology (IT) carried over the Internet. This cloud computing has some risks of security because, the services which are required for its effective compilation is outsources often by the third party providers. This makes the cloud computing more hard to maintain and monitor the security and privacy of data and also its support. This sudden change in the process of storing data towards the cloud computing technology improved the concerns about different issues in security and also the various threats present in this cloud storage. In the concept of security in cloud storage, various threats and challenges are noted by recent researchers. Hence, an effective framework of providing security is required. The main aim of this paper is to analyze various issues in securing the cloud data threats present in the cloud storage and to propose a novel methodology to secure it. This paper also identifies the most crucial components that can be incorporated in the already existing security measures while designing the storage systems based on cloud. This study also provides us to identify all the available solutions for the challenges of security and privacy in cloud storage.

Cloud is a general term used in organizations that host various service and deployment models. As cloud computing offers everything a service,it suffers from serious security issues. In addition, the multitenancy facility in the cloud provides storage in the third party data center which is considered to be a serious threat. These threats can be faced by both self-providers and their customers. Hence, the complexity of the security should be increased to a great extend such that it has an effective defense mechanism. Although data isolation is one of the remedies, it could not be a total solution. Hence, a complete architecture is proposed to provide complete defense mechanism. This defense mechanism ensures that the threats are blocked before it invades into the cloud environment. Therefore, we adopt the mechanism called artificial immune system which is derived from biologically inspired computing. This security strategy is based on artificial immune algorithm.

Cloud computing refers to the basic setup for an emerging model of service delivery, that has the advantage of decreasing the cost by sharing computing, infrastructure including storage resources. This can be combined with on-demand delivery mechanism relying on a pay-per-use model. Cloud computing offers an added level of risk because of essential services provided by it to a third party, which makes it difficult to maintain data privacy and security. Security in cloud computing is a critical aspect, which has various issues and challenges related to it. Cloud service providers/ brokers and the cloud service users should make aware of safety cloud. That is the cloud is safe enough from all kinds of the threats, so that the users do not face any problem like; loss of data or data theft. There is a possibility that, a malicious user can enters the cloud by imitating an authentic user, thus corrupt the entire cloud. It can affect many users who are sharing these types of clouds. This chapter mentions the list of parameters that disturb the security of the cloud. This also explores the cloud security issues and challenges faced by cloud service provider/brokers and cloud service users like; data, privacy, and infected application. Finally, it discusses the countermeasure for handling these issues and its challenges.

Cloud computing services enabled through information communication technology delivered to a customer as services over the Internet on a leased basis have the capability to extend up or down their service requirements or needs. In this model, the infrastructure is owned by a third party vendor and the cloud computing services are delivered to the requested customers. Cloud computing model has many advantages including scalability, flexibility, elasticity, efficiency, and supports outsourcing noncore activities of an organization. Cloud computing offers an innovative business concept for organizations to adopt IT enabled services without advance investment. This model enables convenient, on-request network accessibility to a shared pool of IT computing resources like networks, servers, storage, applications, and services. Cloud computing can be quickly provisioned and released with negligible management exertion or service provider interaction. Even though organizations get many benefits of cloud computing services, many organizations are slow in accepting cloud computing service model because of security concerns and challenges associated with management of this technology. Security, being the major issues which hinder the growth of cloud computing service model due to the provision of handling confidential data by the third party is risky such that the consumers need to be more attentive in understanding the risks of data breaches in this new environment. In this paper, we have discussed the security issues, the challenges and the opportunities in the adoption and management of cloud computing services model in an organization.
