The paper reviewed the relevant literature and research and summarized on VMI, inventory control and transportation scheduling theory ,VMI mode integrated inventory and transportation problem is analyzed theoretically the internal driving force and necessity and insufficiency of the supplier's logistics capabilities and information capabilities.from the systemic view,this dissertation deeply analyzed the information flow and logistics integration in VMI&TPL mode and achieved the predicted research objectives.

The purpose of this study are: (1) Identify the supply chain model of coconut desiccated at PT. XYZ and (2) to analyze the supply chain management of desiccated coconut at PT. XYZ. The research was conducted over 2 months ie from September to November 2016 and is located in PT. XYZ (pseudonym), in North Sulawesi. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. The primary data obtained through field observation and direct interviews. Interviews were conducted with the company related logistics company to find a picture of the supply chain and supply chain management is done by the company. In addition, the researchers also conducted interviews with coconut farmers and collectors to determine the condition of the current coconut price as well as the flow of raw material coconuts from the famers to supplier. Secondary data were obtained from the relevant literature, as well as documents and reports that are owned by companies and agencies. This study focuses on the management of the flow of material and information flow of the supply chain of coconut flour at PT. XYZ. The results of observations and interviews were analyzed with descriptive qualitative analysis methods. The results showed that (1) Members of coconut flour supply chain at. XYZ, namely (a) the raw material supplier of coconut spread in some areas, (b) PT. XYZ for purchasing, sales, shipping and production, (c) Expediting Services to send products from Bitung harbor, next to the port of Tanjung Priok to be exported to the country of destination, (d) The customer, in this case the food companies that require raw materials coconut flour to be produced into chocolate bars, cookies, dessert, and so forth. (2) (a) Selection of supplier PT. XYZ is good enough, because every supplier who will supply the raw material to go through the interview stage, made a deal with the company and agree to the terms proposed by the company. PT. XYZ also maintain good relations with its suppliers with visits annually; (b) the flow of material and information flow is managed by PT. XYZ is good enough. Any information purchasing, sales, shipping and finance centered PT.XYZ headquarters is located in Manado and PT. XYZ manage information about the quantity of raw materials available in the warehouse and general condition of the plant.

In order to solve the Inventory-transportation Integrated Optimization problem (ITIO problem) in a distribution network consisting of many warehouses and many retailers, the Lagrange multiplier method, the scenario-based Dynamic Slope Scaling Procedure (DSSP) heuristics and the Lagrangian relaxation-based DSSP heuristics were applied to integrate the system of inventory control and transportation scheduling respectively and in proper sequence. The more efficient Lagrangian relaxation-based DSSP heuristics is found in solving the ITIO problem. And furthermore, the comparative experiments prove the heuristics can get the optimized results in less calculating time and the efficiency of this method is also proved in solving the ITIO problem in a many-to-many distribution network.

Inventory control strategy of spare parts is an effective way to improve equipment support efficiency and scientific and reasonable inventory policy can make spare parts availability reach the upper limit. Multi-echelon integrated inventory control strategy of equipment spare parts is studied. Three-level integrated inventory control model consisting of rear warehouse, equipment using units and spare parts supplier is established according to the architecture and control program of multi-echelon joint inventory. The algorithm of solving the proposed model is analyzed and a numerical example is provided. The proposed equipment spare parts inventory model can improve inventory quality to a certain degree and decrease the contradictions between inventory and maintenance. The correctness and effectiveness of the proposed model are verified by the example, which provides an effective model for equipment spare parts inventory.

As thermo-technical spare parts are essential materials of power plants’ continuous and safe operation, how to guarantee their timely supply in subordinate power plants of the electric power group is a deserved research. Based on the analysis on the classification and electric power groups’ current situation on inventory management of thermo-technical spare parts, the paper presented a basic idea that managing the electric power group’s thermo-technical spare parts at different echelons and administrating them like in a supermarket in e-market way. The paper built a frame model of two-echelon inventory management. The function, structure, operation procedure, information flow and the problems of the e-marketplace’s inventory management are further analyzed. At last, the paper applied method of mathematical model to inventory control. The information and inventory of thermo-technical spare parts between suppliers and the e-marketplace, the e-marketplace and subordinate power plants are integrated and optimized effectively.
