Crane runway girders are subject to cyclic loads, stress variation in the girders is a certainty. In this paper, Fatigue is investigated for the metallurgical bridge crane structure and an explanation of the concepts and design methods are provided. The fatigue test & analysis was carried out in the middle of girder bridge crane cover& its rail web, and the fatigue life of these Measuring points was calculated according to EN 1993-1-9:2005 Part 1-9, the result is consistent with the fatigue assessment result for bridge cranes Using MSC.Fatigue software ,which represents a strong practical significance.

The Smith-Watson-Topper (SWT) parameter was originally suggested and is still widely used to account for mean stress effects in fatigue life analysis. It is well recognized however, that the SWT parameter might be non-conservative for cyclic loads that involve relatively large compressive mean stresses. Such large compressive mean stresses can develop in notches after overloads. An energy interpretation of the SWT parameter is presented first. Based on analogy with the Neuber’s rule a new deviatoric formulation of the SWTD parameter is proposed. It is found that for positive mean stresses and moderate negative mean stresses the original SWT parameter and the proposed deviatoric SWTD parameter yield similar results. At large compressive mean stresses and non-proportional biaxial fatigue, the deviatoric SWTD parameter demonstrates a fairly good correlation to test data while the original SWT parameter results in wide scatter.

One of the most important reasons for railway traffic accidents is the fatigue failure of the rail joint bolt. Therefore, the research on the fatigue properties of rail joint bolt has important practical significance. This paper analyzed the influence of different pre-tightening torque on the fatigue life of the rail joint bolt. Besides, the best pre-tightening torque of the bolt was acquired through theoretical calculations. Finally, the fatigue life of the rail joint bolt was predicted according to the relevant basic theory and methods of fatigue life analysis, which applied numerical simulation technology.

the compressor bracket of car air conditioner frequently breaks and fatigue failure of its welding beam frequently occur in the vibration fatigue test. In order to solve these problems, the static stress and displacement distribution of mounting bracket are given under the effect of different acceleration by using FEM software in the paper. Simulation results show that revised design of the mounting bracket achieves success and its stiffness, strength and fatigue life satisfy the requirements of vibration test.
