This paper introduces a kind of spectral data acquisition system based on the linear CCD. The spectral acquisition circuit, data conversion and storage circuit were designed. The synchronization of the spectral data acquisition, data conversion and storage were achieved using VHDL. Finally, the spectrum contained noise is processed by the wavelet denoising theory. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme is feasible.

This paper presents experimental results of tensile and compressive behaviors of smart electrorheological (ER) materials. Two different ER materials ; chemically treated starch particles and polymethylaniline particles are synthesized followed by devising a sqreeze mode type apparatus associated with motion controller and data acquisition system. The field intensity, electrode velocity and initial gap are chosen as important test parameters that influence on the tensile and compressive characteristics. The maximum tensile stresses are evaluated at each condition and compared between two ER materials.

This paper presents a practical approach for a distributed data acquisition system organized on several levels, with functions distributed in functional nodes. A field bus allows the communication between all programmable electronic modules for data acquisition (first level) and the process server (second level); the last one is a data processing and monitoring equipment which also represents the process server in a computer network with many clients. The electronic equipment for monitoring and recording analog and digital inputs (i.e. a functional node from the first level of the distributed data acquisition system) is described in detail. This equipment is organized around the PC/104 central unit and performs four main functions: acquisition, configuration, local monitoring and communication. The experimental results, corresponding to the Server application, are also presented and discussed in this paper.

In order to monitor industrial parameters such as the temperature, pressure, and humidity more intuitively, an embedded multi-channel data acquisition system is designed in this dissertation. These collected data need to be stored safe to prepare for the further process. Therefore, a SD memory card system is specially designed. In the system, the LPC2210 is selected as the controller and FAT32 is adopted as its file system. This design will provide a convenient and reliable solution for industrial field data acquisition and storage.
